Iâm expecting a full and frank apology if Lennon steps down in the close future.
Lennonâs recent soundbites suggested planning for next season was well advanced (despite media speculation about him going to Norwich or elsewhere). When it was recently announced that Mjallby was departing as Assistant Manager, there was no real hint that Lennon was going to follow. Iâm speculating that thereâs been a fall-out over future plans / transfer budgets and that, allied with his ambition to manage in England, has resulted in him moving on. I think heâs done a very good job overall though we should have won more domestic cups in his tenure. Highlight obviously beating Barcelona in the Champions League and qualifying for the knock-out stages as fourth seeds.
Do we need a separate thread for new Celtic manager debate / rumour / speculation?
If it is true no doubt failed EPL managers like Lambert, Mackey and Moyes will be linked with the gig. But seeing as Mick McCarthy is under contract with Ipswich and unavailable i think Henrik Larsson would be the next best option

Indubitably
Neil Lennon has parted company with Scottish Premiership champions Celtic, his agent has said.
Martin Reilly - who represents the Northern Irishman - said that after four years and three title wins, the former club captain had decided he wanted to take on a fresh challenge.
He told Press Association Sport: âFour years is a good spell to be manager of a club like Celtic but now Neil wants to look ahead to the next chapter of his career.â
BBC Scotland quoted Lennon as saying: "I have parted company with Celtic. I canât thank Peter Lawwell and the board enough for their backing and support.
âThe club are in a very strong position and I wish the fans and the club all the very best for the future.â
The 42-year-old replaced Tony Mowbray in 2010 and as well as leading the club to three successive Scottish Premiership successes, he has also helped the Hoops claim two Scottish Cup wins and masterminded their run to the last 16 of last seasonâs Champions League.
That European campaign also included the famous Parkhead win over Barcelona and former Leicester midfielder Lennon is now expected to continue his career in England.
But despite being linked with the vacant managerial positions at Norwich and West Brom, Reilly insists his client has not agreed to any job offer yet.
He added: âHe has nothing lined up. He just feels now is the time to move on to the next challenge.â

Full and Frank Apology
I apologise unreservedly to the Board, and particularly to @Il Bomber Destro for my beligerent and arrogant insistence that Neil Lennonâs departure from Celtic Football Club was not imminent.
This is a difficult time for me and my family and I would ask members and guests to extend me the time to deal with my emotions in private. It is appropriate now for me to reflect on my actions, my habit of condescending replies on here and my sanctimonious attitude. However my primary thoughts at present are sorrowful and apologetic.

Who was it celebrating with Hooiveld behind the goal for Sammyâs first one?
Benefits footballer Marc Crosas
Looks well, donât think it will do anything for Griffiths - donât think there is anything you can do for that lad.
Will he be available for the upcoming friendlies due to this?
Decent article from the Guardian on the trouble Neil Lennon faced:
BBC are reporting that Celtic are close to signing Craig Gordon. Concerning.
