Fraser Forster starts in goal for England tonight, should a few more quid to his value
Neil Lennon is the guest on Goals on Sunday at the moment speaking about his Celtic playing and managerial career. A very impressive speaker.

Didn’t realise Forster played on Friday. How did he do ?
What’s the craic with Ben Foster - am I right in saying he has come out of international retirement ?
Some insightful comments about O’Neill and his psychology in there too.
What did he say? I only caught the last 45 minutes, which was a Celtic fest. Lennon’s very articulate, passionate and self deprecating - a very good guy. He also said Joe Ledley has been offered a new contract and he’s considering it at present.
@thedancingbaby - Foster came out of retirement and was restored as #2 keeper. Forster was actually dropped for a couple of squads with Ruddy as #3. But Foster got injured playing for West Brom and Forster’s CL display against Barcelona put him back in the frame big time, especially with Hart letting in sitters left, right and centre. I only saw the goals from Friday’s game - neither were his fault.

[]People talk about him not being involved enough because he doesn’t take training but his knowledge of the game is immense
[]Big thing was about getting people enjoying training. Loved all the training under O’Neill, whether he was at it or not
[]Made everyone believe in themselves. Played 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 with Leicester until they were promoted. Played 4-5-1 in every pre-season game. Then an hour before kick-off of the first game he told the players they were going 3-5-2. Never practised it or discussed it once but told the players that he’d thought long and hard about it and they could be very successful doing that and they believed him and bought into it.
[]Didn’t practise set pieces ever. Just told the takers to put the ball into a couple of good areas and told the big guys to go and attack it - simple as that.
[]Most training drills were about possession - mainly small sided games. And a fair amount of shooting practice.
[]Just said over and over that his psychology was the big thing. Had everyone believing in themselves and enjoying it.

Note how I interchanged the spelling of practise/practice to reflect the word changing from verb to noun during those points.
Sorry but there is a problem with the audi sync on this video from about 45 secs in.

Lennon is probably the biggest spoofer of a football manager behind Brendan Rodgers. He talks in nothing but cliches, populist tripe and empty threats. He always deflects criticism away from himself and onto others in an aggressive manner. There is always an agenda to his words, they are self-serving and always trying to curry favour with whatever person can help benefit him. He was a shit footballer and is now a treacherous, soup-taking, shit football manager who plays very boring and negative football.
I’m not surprised you are hanging out of his backside though.

He has a lot to be self deprecating about.
+1
Celtic have completed the signing of Icelandic striker Holmbert Fridjonsson on a pre-contract agreement.
A terrific coup.
Neil Lennon mentioned today that he’s hopeful of Joe Ledley agreeing a new contract. He moved on a Bosman to Celtic and I’m concerned that he’ll be away in a similar manner.
Also, James Forrest is unfit for tomorrow’s game against Aberdeen but he should be available for Tuesday night.
No other injury concerns following the international break.
Bright Dike of Toronto and Nigeria has been offered a trial subject to MLS approval. He scored against Italy last week. How has he been doing in the MLS @briantinnion? I note he was drafted from Notre Dame which is a big soccer school.
We’re also taking Dull Hetero on trial.
@Bandage and @Rocko
I hope you applauded Kaka off the pitch on Tuesday, guys.
The “new Zlatan” - 17 year old Valmir Berisha - who is also Swedish has said Celtic are one of many clubs who have offered him a contract.
Who the fuck is Aaron Taylor Sinclair?
We’ve been after a left back for ages now. I remarked to @Bandage the other day that full back is our strongest position by a long way. We have 3 very good specialist full backs, who are among our best players - Matthews, Lustig and Izaguirre. Two are specialist right backs and Matthews can cover across to the left. Added to that we have Mulgrew and Ledley (at a push) who can cover left back as third and fourth choices. Fisher is our third choice right back and looks plenty good enough.
If we’re not spending money then I guess it’s not a big deal but I don’t really get the urgent need for one, particularly when we’re crying out for a striker and two midfielders - a creator to compete with Commons and someone to replace Wanyama.
