Didn’t look forward to me at the game. Haven’t watched it since. TMO wrecks my head as it is so wasn’t bothered. I’d say ref wasn’t happy with TMO anyways don’t think they were in full agreement with Barrett try…although was correct to give that

Your overlord @gilgamboa has received your queries, he’s now spoken and it’s clear. Stop crying your hearts out about the referee.

Ireland have a legitimate grievance around a PT from a scrum on the AB line. That was jokeshop.

Maybe the kick-off where O’Brien was smashed at the start.

Cane - not so much. Possible YC. Not any better or worse than Stander in South Africa during the summer, where he got red.

The all blacks lowered the blade, same as KK have done countless times. I suppose the difference here was, unlike Limerick or Waterford, Ireland stayed with them and wouldn’t have been flattered with a closer scoreline. Ireland weren’t far off at all.

I’ve a feeling Cane was taken out too and Ireland escaped a citing there.

KK, Kerry, All blacks, these teams are traditionally great because it is instinctively within them to win, whatever it takes. Fair fucks to them.

It is also noticeable that the whinging is coming largely from the Indo papers and not the Irish Times at all.

The cunts who are moaning about the cheating all blacks are the same ones who were congratulating CJ Stander on his illegal block for Murrays try in Chicago.

Test match rugby qt its finest, its puts our victory two weeks into perspective, the enormity of what we achieved

Breath-taking hypocrisy from Quinlan. This is the man who tried to gouge out Leo Cullen’s eye and then denied it at a hearing despite TV cameras catching him. He is now accusing a ref of failing to protect players, you actually couldn’t make that up.

Yeah, it’s a complicated game and anybody who has played it can straight away see what’s filth and what isn’t.

I’d liken a lot of commentators on rugby as akin to yanks and hurling or the sort of English who watch it on Sky and write about it on Twitter. They haven’t a clue. The tackle on Zebo was filth.

The Irish Times is the rugby paper and they aren’t a bit bothered about the game. The Indo has about 5 articles whinging about it.

The ref was shite though.

Don’t know why anyone would give them the soot of complaining they fucking thrive on it. As sure as night follows day every good side is cheating from pillar to post it’s only matter of how much they can get away with.

Do you find treating a fluke as an enormous achievement is a habit with you?

It’s a little tradition he has to treat a fluke as an enormous achievement

I’m just praying here Philip Browne doesn’t come out looking for a rematch or additional world rankings points or use this as an excuse to extort a load of cash out of world rugby due to poor refereeing.

That would put the tin hat on it

Why would he want a rematch for a friendly?

Guys, are rugby football teams required by law/rule to pick players in the standard positions, i.e 8 forwards, 1 scrum half, 6 backs? Or could they conceivably change that mix if they want to?

Revenge

Must have set number in the scrum and must have specialists in the front row. But could in theory pick two more wingers and stick them into the scrum when needs be. You wouldn’t be long noticing the difference.

What did you have in mind!

A sweeper, no doubt.

Well if it’s good enough for the great @Tassotti it’s good enough for me. That job I spoofed my way into but lasted only three weeks before being found out will no longer be omitted from my cv. I will treat it as an achievement to get a job I was patently unqualified for.

Just watching the Six One sport news and Mick Kearney of the Ireland management team was sulking about being accused of whining. He said the facts spoke for themselves what with the citing chap picking 12 incidents to review - “11 from New Zealand and 1 from us, which we were subsequently cleared of”. You’d never have gotten my good friend Paul McNaughton carrying on like that.
