November Rugby Internationals (On the sesh with the Goys)

Izzy what?

All I see is a compliment towards their referee management ?

It was actually one of the convicts tweeted it. The masters of whinge whinge moan.

Maybe that’s what you were getting at

Izzy

Was it the great Izzy Folau?

I dont think so. This guy looked younger.
Hair shaved at the sides and a taller square afro on top

How big of a lad was he…lot of islanders with the ozzies

He was big. I can’t tell what positions rugby players are these days from looking at them as they are all tanks.
Defo not a prop or 2nd row I’d guess.
Will google them later and try see if he is a starter for them

Sounds like Kurindrani

And Cane decision is upheld. Pen enough.

Think that’s fair enough on both counts.

Cheapest shot of entire first half barely mentioned. Dane Coles on Murray in at the side and late no arm clear out from ruck. Definitely yellow. Trimble also should have gotten yellow for deliberate knock on.

Ref could have given 5/6 YC in first half and nobody could have complained. If he’d given one probably few of the subsequent incidents even happened.

Don’t know much about rugby but Cane was fully intent on doing Henshaw. Sportsmen at that level move with intent and he led with the shoulder to maximise the damage.

His attempt to wrap his arms was an after thought and a smokescreen. Lots of stuff looks accidental but that was no accident.

He was moving in to put in a big hit, but Henshaw bounced off one tackler into him, leading to tackle appearing worse than it would have. Thems the breaks in a collision sport, for both tackler and ‘victim’

V difficult one to call. It all happened so quickly. He was out to bury him alright but I’d imagine he thought he’d be smashing him in the back rather than the noggin.

As I said yday…I personally have less of an issue with that one than some others but hard to see how it’s in accordance with the guidelines given to the refs

Rugby is no different to any other sport in terms of inconsistent refereeing. The only difference being that they tend to hand out punishment retrospectively a lot more often then other sports.

I agree with myself. I’ve just watched it real time on the internet. Full intent to take Henshaw out with a shoulder block - a Brucie Bonus to get him square on the jaw. Cane was protecting his head from the impact. Those lads think and act a lot faster than Internet posters like us.

The high tackle on zebo was harmless and looked worse but there was no intention to harm in it.

In general, from what little rugby I watch, the shoulder block seems to be the tackle de jour now.

I won’t be letting any sprog of mine play this game.

Somebody will die on the pitch if something isn’t done. Years ago there wereally a few neckbreaks in the game predominantly due to strumming. Now it looks as if the scrum is one of the safer aspects of the game. Some of the hits were absolutely ridiculous even the legal ones
