Here’s my take on it. Im just getting over Covid, and it’s fairly horrendous. Herself had 2x Pfizer. I had 2x Pfizer. My lad had 1x Pfizer. My lass was due her first next week. Basically almost her entire year got it. She tested very weak lateral flow positive on the Monday, had a heavy cold and was generally miserable.
We all did lateral flow tests. All negative. We all went for PCR. All negative except her. She was hence isolating at home. Tuesday felt ok. Negative lateral flow all the rest of us. Went about our business as usual. Tuesday night I awoke with a horrific headache, sweats and generally feeling bad. Didn’t wake herself, but couldn’t sleep. Lateral flow in the morning negative, but I felt so bad I didn’t go to work (I’ve only ever been off work sick twice before, one with flu, once with myocarditis).
Thursday felt no better. Lateral flow test positive like you’d inked it with a magic marker. Felt awful. Herself and my lad still negative and feeling fine. All went for PCR. Mine confirmed positive, theirs remained negative. Continued to feel horrific. On Friday morning last week, in about an hour, I completely lost sense of taste and smell, as in completely. Couldn’t taste anything. I then got kicked into a spare room, where I’ve been sleeping since. Herself has subsequently had her booster.
I’m only feeling vaguely right today, and I’m still so tired I can’t get the energy to speak on the phone unless I have to.
So, my unvaccinated lass brought it home from school.
I had both pfizers and still got a dose that could easily have killed a frail person.
Herself, despite sharing a bed with me for three of four days whilst I was positive, didn’t get it.
My lad, as usual, sails on in high good humour unaffected.
I also was clearly ill with it for at least 36 hours before a positive test.
I’d not force anyone to do anything, but, I would strongly recommend you get yourselves and your loved ones vaccinated as soon as possible, and also be aware that it’s not a magic shield either.
It behoves us all to go back to work, and to normal, but sensibly. Don’t let your guard down too much.
On the plus side, by Christmas I’ll have had two jabs, a booster, and a dose of COVID.
I’ll be like the ready brek kid.

Pfizer is awful muck, you wouldn’t even have had a runny nose with AZ, 6 months ago I knew hardly anyone with covid, now everyone has it
