Limerick have hit 11 wides. But their half back line of Coughlan, Connolly & O’Loughlin totally on top. Diarmuid Ryan, Mark Rodgers, Conor Cleary, David Reidy are the only ones to show up for Clare. You could sub any of the rest of them off. New lads struggling with short puck out.

Problem is they don’t have much on the bench, think they only have around 22 lads available this week due to a variety of reasons.

Coughlan caught for pace there

8 people went too hard on the beer last night

I’m one and two of the 8.

Sat watching it on the telly instead, head like a burst pillow

If it’s any consolation to Aaron Fitzgerald I’d say he couldn’t play as badly again if he tried

0-23 to 0-12 at the second water break. Mainly frees since ht. Gone scrappy enough

Limerick 0-27 Clare 0-18 all over

Last quarter played at walking pace. Limerick left a good few scores behind them and Clare left a number of goal chances go abegging.

Mainly the established players to the fore although Limerick’s half backline played well while O’Connell in the full forward line got on a lot of ball but it seemed to be as much to do with his man, Gough, constantly hurling him from behind.

What had Lohan a bee in his bonnet about?

Jesus Clare were fucking useless there today. January, availability etc aside, stone useless.

The inevitable pre-throw-in Clare tactic of… what exactly? “Let’s rough up O’Donoghue”? Great plan, guys.

I expected a much tougher test below there with the team they named but it never materialised.

Diarmiud Ryan the only one to come away with any credit. Word is they’ve a lot of work done, they’ll need to start showing it.

In NFL parlance, twill be hard to beat them three times. May need to throw the league game to get a round robin victory in fortress Cusack Park.

At a guess, it was because David Reidy (Limerick) stood his ground at the far side of the field in one passage of play and Lohan seemed to think it was dangerous based on the way he reacted.

Kiely was looking around to shake his hand after the match but Lohan went straight down the tunnel.

Most unsporting conduct.

He might have been rushing home for the dinner.

Our local man on the ground, James Moran, had a few words for Kiely anyway.

Welcome to the big leagues, Brian.

Was there people watching this nonsense today? :grinning:

8k in Cusack Park. The lads only interested in the big occasion were probably at home making sure Takaka Rain was still on their Spotify playlist.

You’d need your head examined to be off watching that on a day like today.

A glorified challenge game from Buff’s clips. Shows the strength of the Limerick bandwagon element.
