Obese Ireland

I couldnt tell youā€¦ I was at a social occasion where ten boxes of party sized pizzas were served upā€¦ I took two boxes home

Slice 17 and 18- cold.

So far today Iā€™ve eaten a sausage and pudding roll, a box of mini ribs, a snack box with a can of coke, and am now enjoying a big slice of sponge cake.

Aboy the kid.

Proper ating.

I had lunch in the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis today. Now I ate a fine healthy 3 course meal myself but some of the gorging I witnessed at other tables was hard to watch.

Second and third rounds of spuds being trailered down to folk who looked like they were preparing for the next famine. No one spoke at all, there wasnā€™t adequate chewing going onā€¦ just frantic gorging.

The women are as bad as the men, how some of these folk manage to procreate at all is some form of miracle.

Where the fuck are you,prison?

In all honesty its a sad enough state to be in. I walked through Dunneā€™s in the way back to car and at a casual glance I would say there was easily a 50% plus obesity rate.

Legs rubbing off each other, chin flaps, breathlessā€¦

Its a serious epidemic. Ennis is just a snapshot of Ireland in general. The medical consequences facing the country in the next 50 years are not even fully grasped yet.

Had a rasher and a sausage for the breakfast, roast lamb in Becketts for the Sunday lunch and a bowl of soup in the Strand for my tea.

I had sausage, egg and black pudding for breakfast. Seabass, mash and veg with some fancy sauce for dinner. And iā€™m after having a boiled egg done medium soft spread over toast with a bit of sauerkraut on top. Few pints as well.

Good to see someone else on here enjoying a good Sunday roast today.

Soup for your tea?
Madness.
