What has rattled your cage, pal?
Barnes has gone on for years about how he himself has been badly treated by clubs because of his skin colour. Itâs pure rubbish - he got to manage a club the size of Celtic ffs.
He was a total disaster from day one there. Ditto at Tranmere. Maybe looking at that track record there is a reason clubs are reluctant to employ him. Stan hasnât got a sniff of a managers gig since the Ireland debacle - again nothing to do with his skin colour.
And his comment about racism in Ukraine or Russia not bothering him when you can drive around in a Bentley⌠
Great player, shit manager who blames others for his failures.
Seems like youâre the one whose cage has been rattled here, pal
He wasnât a total disaster at Celtic from day one, in fact per game, up until Henrik Larsson broke his leg he was one of the most successful managers. When Larsson broke his leg the wheels came off and it was curtains.
Its one of sports what ifâsâŚ

I think the person who compiled that table may have been suffering from concussion at the time.
Barnes may or may not have spoken well. He was a fucking dreadful at Celtic. Someone should drag up some of his relatively huge money signings.

I could have managed a team with Henrik Larsson in it at his absolute peak.
Dr Jo couldnât win anything with Larsson in it. Rangers won the double that year.
Celtic didnât get through to CL, actually drew with St Pats before being beaten by Zagreb and then beaten by Zurich in UEFA cup. This was after taking over a league and league cup winning team under Wim Jansen.
Iâm not disputing the fact that Barnes was shit, I just disputed the statement he was shit from day one.
Dr Jo was shit too but he gave us Moravcik and beat Rangers 5.1 so there was still highlights to his year.
Berkovic was decent for Celtic I thought. Hoped OâNeill would have given him a run when he signed but he wasnât really a guy for flair players.
As for Barnes, who knows only for the injury to Larsson. Itâs a shame Larsson and Viduka never got more time together - they were a hell of a partnership.

I thought Berkovic was a good player but he was a disruptive fucker. Pity about Viduka but he never really wanted to play anyway.
Barnes bought Petrov and Petta.

you probably dont remember this as you fell asleep 5 mins after kick off but the killie game where he stuck his fingers up at the fans showed a bad attitude
Rafael Scheidt
Remember when Celtic had Scheidt and Olivier Tebily at the back and they were then linked with David Weir.
They were looking at a back 3 of
Weir Tebily Scheidt

Liverpool were looking at Messi, Ronaldo and Zlatan- It could have been a front three of Messi, Ronaldo and Zlatan.

Very good, mate.
Being a massive EPL fan, the Weir-Tebily-Scheidt scenario reminds of an actual one that materialised at Charlton Athletic: (Mark) Fish-(Jorge) Costa-(Jon) Fortune. Fish-Costa-Fortune!
John Barnes was before his time with the 4-2-2-2 formation. Thatâs known as a box midfield by Brendan Rodgers these days.

You stink. On multiple levels.
There was reggie blinker, though he may have been a dr Joe signing. Nice chap actually. Let me out in traffic once.
