Always the victimsâŚ
Your whole post included references to precious hatchet jobs on Tyrone so its whole structure is flawed.
As I said I have no problem with Tyrone being criticised for the way they are when that criticism applies to all parties. In the past 10 months (and way beyond that as well) we have seen enough incidents involving Kerry to suspect that cheating and cynicism is a big part of their game but the media are only interested in chasing this angle with regards Tyrone.
Tyrone are being singled out and treated as unique for the ills of the game. They are being made fall guys and itâs disgraceful the way the Southern media have orchestrated this.
if you took off your Red and white glasses you would see the point i am making is that other teams seem to have one or two players who will indulge in this type of play whereas in Tyrone it seems to be a concerted team effort.
You have provided examples of instances where players have acted alone you have not provided any where a team has gone as far as Tyrone did on Saturday, i am not vilifying them for it, I would simply like you to draw a parallel with another team.
Tell me about those legendary training sessions weâve all read about Jamesie - were they tough?
One or two??? Take off your free state tinted glasses and smell the coffee. Letâs examine Kerry alone.
Donaghy - serious history of goading game in game out
OâBrien - how many black cards has he received in the past 12 months. He turns into a foul machine in the closing stages of matches.
OâDonoghue - how many dubious frees and penalties has he earned in the past year. See cuteness re OâDonoghue and cheating re Cavanagh
OâMahony - the guy who introduced simulation to the game
Galvins - general tramp, gouger and weâll able to run his mouth
Barry John Keane - remember his little kick out incident last year?
Donnacha Walsh - remember his badgering the referee to have Keegan sent off last year for a little flick of the boot.
You need to wake up to reality as your stance is ridiculed in double standards.
so one then?
Can you not count, there are about seven players there?
Can you not read? I said team.
You said other teams have one or two players whereas it is a team effort with Tyrone. I have shown that to be bullshit, you fool. Can you not count the Kerry players there? Thereâs 7 listed.
My point is that that all this instances didnt occur in the one game. tha fact that there were some many issues on Saturday is the issue. In Kerrryâs game it might be one lad or two but never a whole plethora may they are more cynical in there cynicism and have it planned from the get go.
The fact is Tyrone let themselves down in a very public way. they acted like school in summer, NO CLASS.
Look at the Mayo game last year and tell me it wasnât a temporary effort. How many little scuffles did they orchestrate in the closing minutes to see out the game. Are you telling me that wasnât a team effort?
They orchestrated another one late on in the Donegal game? Are you telling me that wasnât a team effort?
Stop trying to kid yourself?
Wooly was on about Tyrone again last night. I might have misheard him because I was passing through the kitchen but I think he said that he would take a dive if it was in an All Ireland final but not in a Quarter final
if Woolie had won a Senior All Ireland heâd most likely never have laced up the boots again so it wouldnât have mattered to him
No danger of that ever coming remotely close to happening.
Fair point.
the McCann dive is the only major difference, the game was gone at that stage, no need.
I agree, we didnât need to close the game out as cynically as we did as we were comfortable in handling Monaghan all day but Mayo used similar tactics gains Galway this year, maybe not to the same extent which was quickly glossed over.
Thatâs grand when your route encompasses teams like Wicklow, Sligo and Clare and their ilk.
No-one really cares about it in provincial games though as the losing team get a 2nd chance. Its when it happens in pure knockout games the hysterics go up a notch.
I think lost counties do pal, for most it represents the best hope of silverware. To the likes of Mayo, Dublin and Kerry them might mean little as they come around so easily but I think a provincial title would mean an awful lot to every other county in the country.
I meant no-one from a media point of view rather than the county that its happened to, to your point about it being glossed over.
