They were shitting on about incidents in the Donegal and Tyrone game back at the start of May so I donât think subscribe to that viewpoint.
who were? and any more than they were shitting on about incidents in the Galway Mayo game?
A lot more than they were shitting on about the Galway Mayo game, compare and contrast the language being used.
Whenever Ulster teams are being hauled through the mud for any transgressions it is language such as âugly scenesâ. Quickly glossed over with scant lip service the further down the country you go though.
jesus man, will you seriously let that chip off your shoulder go. I didnt see the Galway Mayo game live, I think it was the same day we played Westmeath, so was listening to Martys bullshit late evening show on the way home, and the end of the game. They went on about all the yellow cards at the start. Spoke about little else other than the argy bargy at the end. And then the Sunday game that night had heaps about all the cynacism and the crap with it all, and spoke about the refs job. Thats me just remembering it from a few months back. I dont remember any incident fromt he Donegal Tyrone game. At all to be honest. There could well ahve been something, but it obviously wasnt made a big deal of, if I can remember so much more form a shitty connaught semi final than from what I would consider a far more high profile game.
I donât know what planet you were living on when the Donegal and Tyrone game took place but sledging was a national topic for the week after and this was even before the allegation in the minor game had been relayed.
Itâs no chip on my shoulder, itâs what has actually happens and continues to perpetuate. Compare and contrast the brawls in the Cavan Armagh game and Dublin Meath matches last year. The Cavan Armagh match provided no allegations of fish hooking or biting yet received 100x the scrunity.
Ulster teams, of course, that predominately hail from all of two counties.
And Donegal being compared to the Taliban - you know the ones who have been successful.
I dont remember any mention of sledging from that game. I thought the whole thing solely stemmed from the minor game. Youâre awful fucking precious about the whole thing.
I donât know why youâre discussing it so if youre completely unaware of it. Colm OâRourke went on a massive rant about saying it wasnât manly stuff at half time, a whole 15 minutes was devoted to it that night on the Sunday Game with Benny Coulter being interrogated about it by Des Cahill.
I suppose youâd try an deny the holocaust took place as well.
youâre absolutely hilarious! You think Iâm the one in denial!
Totti evoking Godwinâs Law now
The guy is a laughing stock.
You are. Youâre denying the clear scrutiny on the Donegal Tyrone game which was all over the press in the aftermath of the match, even before the minor match allegation broke each week. It happened and youâre feigning ignorance on it. They had Coulter collared that evening on it, they had a segment on McGee and Justy McMahon at it. They had Sean Cavanagh rolled out in the press the next day about it.
You should just accept there is an anti-Ulster/Tyrone bias in the media down South because itâs definitely there.
A 5 minute clip on TSG is a week long discussion
Quite a dumb response seeing as Iâve highlighted the extensive coverage toward it. What extensive coverage was there toward the Mayo Galway game.
Personally I feel Tyrone should replace the Red Hand on their jersey with a Swastika for the semi-final.
The extensive coverage you highlighted was 2 clips on Sunday night, wheres the week long debate?
2 clips?
They brought it up with Benny Coulter and the other guests. They had a full interview in the Irish Times with Cavanagh the next day about sledging. Keep on digging though.
Thanks for that, unlike you Iâm not keeping these clippings. So now weâre into Monday. Thats 1 day, wheres the rest of the week?
please point out the posts where I denied the clear scrutiny on the game.
They were talking about sledging at length before the game between Cavan and Monaghan. Brolly referencing the alleged sledging Peter Harte was rumoured to have received from Kevin Cassidy and other such incidents.
