yet only Tipp and Kilkenny- who have far superior players to Waterford- are the only sides to have beaten them in his three and a half seasons in charge, in which they have played all the top tier counties in championship hurling apart from Dublin.

That’s more of an indictment of the standard of the other teams over the past few years than it is any great testament to Waterford ability.
They struggled to beat a bad Limerick team two years ago, struggled to beat Clare and I was at the Munster final replay last year against Cork and they were two of the worst teams I’ve ever seen contest a final.

What about the poor hurlers in Offaly? Locked out of O’Connor Park and told if they didn’t move their cars themselves, they’d be moved for them fairly lively.

Was talking to a guy who knows the craic inside the Offaly camp; he was saying that it was bad enough alright but that the media are blowing it up a bit. The groundskeeper in O’Moore Park is very precious about his pitch and they want it right for Saturday, this is where some of the aggro is coming from too seemingly.

In the 40 years before Justin came along Waterford didn’t do beating teams

I can think of three games off the top of my head however wheree they did beat teams out the gate

I think you can take his post to be a retarded attempt at a wind-up or the post of an utter simpleton. Unless of course you think that Cork were a second tier team when they beat Waterford in 2003, 2005 and 2006. Not to mention when they beat us in 2004. I’m just struggling to remember who went on to win the All Ireland that year though.

I watched the second half of the Waterford / Limerick game last night, very entertaining stuff, some of the marking was terrible, but that allowed for space which led to some very good passages of play. Fair play to O’Grady and Limerick. John Mullane and Noel Connors
