The fact that its in Thurles makes this very difficult to asses. Iām in two minds about this, Dublinās strength and tackling ability should negate a lot of the short passing, but weāre talking about one of the best hurling managers in the last few years who knows a thing or two. On form though (KK game aside, doesnāt really count in this context) Iād have to plump for De Dubs. If they win well, they could be a very difficult proposition in the semi.

Think Galway will give Waterford a hiding. That defence is poor. The whole team bar a few exceptions is. Expect Molumphy will come back as a seventh defender but the likes of Prendergast is finished. Bringing him back says it all imo. Bar brick Walsh at centre back every other Galway forward should be looking to dominate their immediate opponent. The Galway midfielders seem to be in really good form but Waterford do have two lads there that can improve. Galway are bound to have a man extra at the back too. You never can be too sure with Galway but they should win this and by a fairly decent margin.

Theyāve received 2 of the biggest hammerings in the last few years but mostly what you here is āWaterford are not as bad as thatā. Well I have news for anyone that says thatā¦ Waterford hurling is that bad and will be into the future. They lack the thing that is required to be up there competing year on year and you canāt train that into lads.
