Thatâs the only thing I can see wrong with it. Youâd think that Antrim and Carlow should be in the preliminary round instead of Westmeath and Laois.
Thereâs no real advantage to the like of Wexford or Limerick though for losing in the provincial quarter-finals rather than the semi-finals. They might be more likely to get a win or two because theyâre playing somewhat weaker teams, but theyâre no more or less likely to make the All-Ireland quarter-finals, which is the aim after all.
