Official All Ireland Minor and U20 Hurling & Football Thread (Part 1)

WTB, just to go back to your point regarding Cork and development squads, our current U-17s are the first team to go through our new development squad system that was put in place after the strike.

“Any fellow is entitled to a bad game but if he has two or three of them then he is just a bad player”

 :o

Who is that a quote from?

The current Cork Minor hurling manager Patrick Kenneally.

:strokechin:

Indeed.

cant see whats wrong with that statement. at intercounty level if a lad doesn`t deliver in three games then its hard to justify depriving some other player of their chance

…except that isn’t what he said. He said you are a ‘bad player’ if you play two bad games on the trot.

6-22 to 1-4.

Take that Kerry. Cork are back.

What’s the matter wtb, cat got your tongue?

Offaly only beat Meath by two points and Laois brought KK within a point in the second half? Wtf???

Offaly are shit and KK played their minor football team.

This has been spoken about here before, the first full products of Critchleys Setanta program, heres hoping it continues but this side were blessed with Cha and PJ, will see how others go.

Waterford looked the best of the four teams on the TG4 highlights last night. Played some lovely stuff I thought.

Tipp are the team to beat in Munster this year I thought…? Apparently they hammered the shit out of Dublin a few weeks back, and were the only from Munster to do so. Limerick/Clare/Cork building for next year presumably. Waterford have the best forward in the country at this level but still aren’t supposed to be as strong as they were over the last few years.

Similarly KK and Dublin don’t have vintage teams in Leinster.

Laois have beaten Offaly in the Leinster minor hurling championship by a scoreline of 2-13 to 2-10.

Last night, but yeah, a good win, the setanta program seems to be bearing fruit. Think I saw somewhere that it was something like first time we’ve beaten Offaly at this level in 40 years or so.

Think the draw will see Dublin v Kilkenny and Laois v Wexford :guns:
