Heâs still a cunt, playing or not.
Yesterday hurt you didnât it
Dreadfully.
You were fair excited yesterdayâŚoffaly might need to bring in pep.
I think today showed the strength of the Munster Championships in comparison to their Leinster equivalents. Clare and Cork came in battle hardened from tight games against good teams.
Iâd argue that if Limerick, Tipperary, Clare and Cork came through in either grade they would have won today.
Galway were a huge disappointment at 20s this year. I suspect if Kilkenny had a full hand to play, theyâd have won Leinster pulling up and it could have been a different final.
Thatâs a very young Offaly team too. Theyâll probably win the U20 in 2025.
Unless they get promoted to Liam McCarthy and none of their players are allowed play.
He scored 4 from play from minimal possession? Ffs he got one unbelievable score in the seconf straight after the Offaly goal. Leahy is class
I donât think thatâs the case. Cork win all matches in Munster playing to their strengths and with an honest commitment. They are the biggest/most athletic side in it and do not lack hurling compared to any other team in it, they didnât have any need to resort to those cheap tricks today and it reflects badly on them. Today should have been a showcase for the players and for management to put them in a position to hurl off the front foot and win with a panache as they had a better team and depth than Offaly.
They did win comfortably for a finish but the first half there was a terrible whiff of flat track bully off it as opposed to tough, constantly a step late and cynical. The 21s/20s grade is held is high regard because it typically doesnât lend itself to the type of bullshit we often see at senior, teams go out and hurl and for the most part rather than negative set ups and tactics and teams donât single out the better players for treatment.
Personally I would have been annoyed if Clare had won the minor giving Aaron Niland the same treatment that Adam Screeney got in the first half.
Some of the reactions on this thread have been fairly over the top. Itâs hilarious looking at the Limerick posters outraged.
Kingston lucky to have stayed on the pitch in the first half. Cork were cynical overall which is bittersweet to see in a way.
Downey was left to cover the space in front of the fb line in the second half and Screeney was limited then in what he could do. Offaly had no answer.
The Cork hf line were outstanding again. I expect all 3 to make the step up.
Mullins at midfield is my u20 hurler of the year. He has all the materials for Senior. Pace, lovely stickman and works like a dog.
The Offaly support was tremendous. I couldnât but smile after the game when the changs of âUIBH FAILLĂâ were booming
Well said in fairness
Now you can see what we have to put up with every day.
At least @thelimericks will defend it, the Corkies are pure godhelpuses
Turning on their own
All valid points but Cork have not won a senior since 2005. The team of 2004 and 2005 had a real edge to them. They had it playing schools, minor and U21, and took that to senior.
We have won pretty in the past but it has not resulted in success at senior level. The lads today showed an edge that their mentors had in their day. I think thatâs a positive. I would be more confident that the some of the lads playing today have âitâ to make it at senior, and get us back to the summit again.
Spoke to a Corkman this evening who said the carry on of Cork today reminded him of Newtownshandrum in their pomp.
Winners do what it takes to win. Simple as.
Cork are back. They need to give youth itâs chance now
Agree besides the last sentence, it was embarrassing and sour grapes from Offaly once they heard the Cork players and fans together shouting the Rebels chant together on the pitch.
I didnât like the booing and shit and it was great to shut the fuckers up good and proper in the second half but they really do back their players.
Honestly, I didnât think that chanting was sour grapes, just appreciation for their team
Some day. We didnât stay for u20 game. Thank God no work tomorrow. Up the banner !!
