Limerick got on top for the last 15 to 20 minutes.
Mind you Collins was probably motm.

It is the old story of getting a team to the level and hope they take their chances on the big day.

Nearly as exciting a hurling minor final as I can remember anyway, regardless of quality. Tipp Offaly a few years ago in terms of drama just about beats it.

Tipp had the girl in bed and didn’t lay a hand on her and she absolutely drenched. Limerick kicked open the door and rammed her.

Sin e.

I thought the only hope Limerick had was to throw the big Doon No. 10 in full forward for the last 10 minutes.

But I was wrong….

Jaysus was that the last one ye won. I was at the drawn game in 84. Limerick had it wrapped up and Kilkenny being the divils they are clawed their way back into it and got a last minute goal to draw it from Tommy Lannon (or Tommy Lennon as @backinatracksuit would have him).

Gavin o Brien absolutely turned the game when he came on.

I think, was it Jarlath, called him Flanagen

Tommy Lennon.

Some hurler. I hurled with him. But the knees went early. Gone by his mid twenties.

The Tipperary management decision not to agree to play the match in Ennis has to be called out.it doesn’t matter if u won twice in Gaelic grounds already. Finals are different

Nonsense after the fact.
