Hordes of middle-aged men who weren’t Mick McDonagh running to the U20 heroes at the end. This team has truly captured everyone’s imagination in Offaly. A slight word of warning that Offaly won an U20 football All-Ireland 3 years ago and haven’t built on it but these lads are different level. They should win back to back next year now.

Tipp were ran off the field but never stopped trying, Munster was a bonus in reality.

Such a shame the players didn’t have their moment on the pitch alone after the game with the traditional lap of honour, streamers coming from the roof of the stand and rendition of “I’ve Got A Feeling” by The Black Eyed Peas.

The pitch invasion seriously took away from it all.
