I know, but i feel its more personal with Bandage, he thinks i’m questioning his loyalty with the following different soccer teams.
It is noticeable that himself and ncc have switched off from Celtic very early this season, with far less chat about them.
[/quote]Indeed and i fear once Inter win the serie A this weekend the Romanista routine will wear off also, guaranteed it will be all Italia for the WC though so brace yourself. Now back to the Gaelic!
The game itself doesn’t, but the lift it can give squads, older players, counties etc can be paralleled. I saw that Galway game as well now that i think about it, they could have sneaked it if i remember correctly, having being way behind at one stage. That was another good game actually. One of the Galways backs was awesome, can’t remember who now.
Oh i accept differing opinions, but its easy to see here when people are just disregarding someone’s because their team/county/club aren’t getting the big up’s.
Just on the point about one’s home county that Kev raised: I wouldn’t expect Wexford to be considered by neutrals as a potential last 8 team for a number of reasons; our 2009 form, our draw (Dublin in Croke Park) which is likely to send us into the qualifiers early on and the simple fact that other teams have better players and more depth. I’ve been to 5 or 6 of our games this season and there’s noticeable improvement from 2009 in fairness to them. But I wasn’t impressed by the standard in Division 3 at all this season; in fact, a few of the games I attended were awfully poor affairs. We’d need a very long run in the qualifiers to reach the heights of 2008 and that year was the exception rather than the rule when it comes to Wexford football despite our improvements over the last decade or so. We’re capable of going on a bit of a run in the qualifiers all right but we’d be reliant on a favourable draw and home ties.
Would you consider the improvement in the footballers fortunes a detriment to hurling in the county?
Limerick posters might have an opinion on this also.
Not at all, Mullach Ide. There’s only a small crossover of players from one code who would REALLY add something to the other. The major problem, as I see it, is that the country is now breeding a series of fags who want to play rugby football and stuff like that and horrible mismanagement at county board level for a generation.
You don’t get it do you. This is the same team that have been building since the league last year, seen them 5 maybe 6 times, i think its enough.
Before this season how many times did you see Roma play?
The thing is bando your stuck up your own hole on a number of subjects, and don’t like when your cage is rattled a bit. I realise some of your following is for banter value, but its time you grew up isn’t it?
Because you sit on your lazy hole watching a load of sport doesn’t mean you actually are an expert on same.
Kev, I think you’re quite a bit more rattled than I am. You’re jumping around mentioning debates on other threads and other teams and codes and getting a bit giddy generally. You wrote off my opinion of them based on an assumption that I hadn’t seen them play but I just sought to clarify, and subsequently did, that I’ve seen them a similar amount of times over that period as you. I think they’re an average team, and that is my opinion. No amount of grandstanding from you about the U14 village team you coach makes your opinion more valid than anyone else’s, is all.
I’ve tipped Down for the last couple of years to produce the goods-think they may finally do something of note this year. All-Ireland Semi at least perhaps.
