The Cavan one was stone wall for me.
Murphy’s was ridiculous.
The Cavan one was stone wall for me.
Murphy’s was ridiculous.
I think the Cavan lad’s effort was fairly cynical to be fair. I’d say Murphy’s will be rescinded, that was an outrageous decision. Ah that was stupid by the Cavan 14, fuck sake why bother protesting your innocence after that.
Don’t think the Cavan lad could have any argument. Jason McAteer kung fu-esque. Murphy’s sending off was a clear case of evening things up and it’ll surely be appealed.
Donegal looking quite impressive here with some fluent football and good score taking. It’s hard to gauge their real worth considering they’ve been up against poor opposition so far but they look to be a potent force up front. I’d give them a hesitant vote against Tyrone if Murphy plays.
Nobody bothered to secure the goal nets to the ground at Breffni Park.
Managers are very sensitive this year.
Perhaps, but I admire him for standing up for his players.
I dont believe red cards can be rescinded under the new rules, but I am open to correction on that.
Fair play to Carlow by the way. I’ve always found Luke Dempsey to be an alright sort.
JJ Delaney had one rescinded during the National League so I assume the same rules apply to Nordie football.
Again, open to correction, but thought the rule came in at congress that one a referee dealt with an incident there was no come back to it.
- Stopping the practice of asking the match official to reconsider his decision if he has already taken action. Amended to remove all right of review for inadequately punished red card offences as opposed to, as originally proposed, allowing CCCC to act as a citing authority for such infractions, (Legan Sarsfields, Longford) – PASSED.
I think that means that an incident can be reviewed without having to ask the referee if he wants to do so. The wording of these things is always terrible.
they spoke about it at congress but it wasnt ratified
Yea, they dont exactly clear that up there, fair enough so though, I’d agree with your reading of it.
There is no worse form of writing than legal writing. Except GAA legal writing.
Where’s the gentleman that is Frank Murphy when you need him.
Are Carlow any use?
Ye’ll beat them pulling up I’d wager.
They’ve been fairly competitive in U21 in the last couple of years. But I wouldn’t claim to know much about their individual players. We’ll definitely be favourites but need to guard against complacency before our inevitable first Leinster Final appearance since 2008.
Tommy Walsh, Brendan Murphy and the St Ledger lad are the pick of the bunch. Their U21’s this year were ok but aside from the 2 midfielders didn’t offer a lot in attack. If we play like we did in the last 2 games we should be winning this handy enough. The softest chance either side will ever have of getting to a Leinster Final.
Indeed. 2-16 and 1-24 are some scores to have racked up in our two games already. I’d be looking to put around 3-19 past these jokers.
Spillane is even praising us now. Worrying times
Tony Davis was too after the Offaly game but Spillane actually tipped Offaly to come through that side of the draw on the first show of the season. I was very impressed with our brand of football yesterday though.
The GAA has announced the fixture details for the qualifier games. The stand-out one is:
Saturday, 25th June
Drogheda, 7pm
Louth v Meath
Referee - M Sludden (Tyrone)
Lame, fuck off outta here mate.
