Find it strange that the ref gave Joe Dver a yellow for that incident. The fact that he gave a card means he thought there wa sa case to answer in which case, seeing as it was a boot to the head, why was it not a red? I’m not sure whether it was intentional or not myself. I don’t think Coldrick was either so hence the cop out.

Hard to tell regarding intention but I think Coldrick is fair and generally gives players the benefit of the doubt unlike Marty Duffy’s red for Michael Murphy last week, for example. Wouldn’t really have a problem with him copping out and giving the yellow. Good stuff from Derry - Eoin Bradley’s causing all sorts of problems inside and Lynch has been excellent too. Very much on top in the middle third.

Paddy Bradley’s absence seems to help Derry if anything. I think it helps his brother anyway who thrives on the main scoring role.

Armagh need to get Dyas out playing a more prominent role in the midlle of the pitch. Nippy Swift has to come on as well, very surprised that lad isn’t on the team. Derry still look on top despite that goal for Armagh.

Didnt seem to spend much of the first half back there in fairness. Disappointing finish from Stevie there, keeper made him work for it, but still.
