gga fan admits gga teams deliberately lose games :o
not only can he not solo, but he cant shoot accurately and he cant pass with either his foot or his hand. He has to be giving sexual favours to someone in the Dublin setup.
What a fucking weekend of the GAA.
Bring it on.
+1
What kind of gimps to RTE employ? Reading their GAA previews for the weekend and their littered with lazy cliches and inaccurate information
Ciaran Lyng has been in outstanding form on the half-forward line, where newcomer Ben Brosnan has also made a telling impact.
Lyng operated in the Full Forward line in the last game
A football championship devoid of real quality up to now could at last see a game to satisfy the purist as Dublin and Kildare face off at Croke Park.
Armagh and Derry fans are probably wondering what âreal qualityâ is
Two years ago the counties served up a classic in the Leinster final, with the Dubs prevailing by three points. Goals at crucial stages won it for Pat Gilroyâs side on that day - and looking at both sides, you would have to say that the boys in blue have the more potent strike force and are capable of blitzing teams early on.
A full forward who canât solo the ball is part of a âpotentâ strike force
The Brogan brothers and Diarmuid Connolly form a lethal inside forward line.
One of the above 3 will not be playing in the inside forwards
How things break down in the middle and where Stephen Cluxton directs his kick-outs could go a long way to determining the outcome.
Thatâs a sentence youâd expect out of an author like me.
All itâs missing is Lovely Leitrim Farmer
OâGara is developing a new âsolo the ball over the barâ technique. Itâs his best hope of scoring a point, I feel.
Thatâs not just limited to RTE, Mac. Some of the efforts from print journalists are rather embarrassing too. A large quantity of teams donât line out as selected yet youâll still read match reports where theyâll name a player as struggling against a corner forward, even though he played half back and was never marking him etc. And these lads are sitting in the press box watching the game and it doesnât register with them.
I guess itâs the reverse of your example with Lyng where his play from centre forward is mentioned despite him being part of a 2-man full forward line the last day. How difficult for them is it to scan the pitch at the start of a game and scribble down where players are actually playing? All it takes is to write something like this on their notebook or whatever depending on the switches:
1
2, 3, 5
4, 6, 7
8, 9,
10, 14, 15,
11, 12, 13
Some of them are extremely clueless. I wouldnât rely on any list of scorers from the national papers either and donât get me started on their player ratings on a Monday.
And people laughed when i said iâd more skills than some county players.
Havenât seen (or at least i donât remember him) the new Vincents guy, but they donât seem to be able to shake that favourtism.
Cannot believe Dara Oâ Cinneade tipped Dublin to win the All-Ireland before the season started :o , heâs usually bang on. He has changed his mind though i think.
Fancy Kildare slightly myself.
Very strange Dublin selection alright.
Iâm assuming Gilroy wants his best XV on the pitch for the last 10/15 minutes. I doubt very much you will see OâGara and Bastick in this period.
I strongly fancy Dublin to win and win well.
