Waterford deserved it. This is a real two fingers to the rest of Ireland in the week that the Waterford Town-Rosslare rail line is closed. Now for city and university status.
Delighted for the folk hero, John Mullane.
+1
Thats because you have too many headless guys out there at one time. Aisake, Ray Ryan, Luke Oā Farrell, Naughton all can make some dreadful decisions
In fairness, it would have been an injustice had we won that.
It wasnāt a fantastic game though, i hope they stop this crap, these games were nothing like the great Cork-Waterford games of the past 10 years.
I suppose its only nights like tonight you realise there is a big gap between our good team of 03-07 to the good young fellas coming though. We have good young players, but virtually no 22-28 year olds.
Iām glad it was shown up tonight, hopefully a few of them will be disregarded for rest of the season and we build for the future using the games left.
Luke oā Farrell, Ray Ryan, Fraggie all bottled easy points, Cussen had a bad wide, but at least he went for it. Ben is not contributing at all really from play.
They are going to ruin Patrick Horgan the way heās been treated, and Fraggie is getting the captain treatment.
Martyt shut up about the floodlights you muppet.

[/quote]Indeed the Limerick breeding in him always shines through at the best of times!
If cork canāt beat Antrim theyāve no business going any further anyway
Now without throwing a dig at Cork as i was going for them i hope after tonight that all talk of Aisaike will end after tonights game, shocking.
Waterford deserved it, no excuses. If we canāt beat them then we canāt beat anyone meaningful.
Who next week? Assuming Sean Og is back then him wing back, Shane Murphy stays in the corner, Paudie Sul for Fraggie.
Great contest it has to be said. Full credit to Brian Gavin, he let it turn into one.
Cork v Waterford in Thurles - The Real Munster Final.
Ah now he was hardly going to manage to duck out of going for the point. He gets no credit for attempting a shot in loads of space from 25 yards and putting it way wide. I think he has no mental strength at all and never seems to use what physical strength he must have.
Cork started going for a goal too early there as well. They were already going for the goal when they were 4 down and could easily have had one point before the OāConnor free so 2 points in 5 minutes would have been very feasible.
Why are you picking out Aisake when Ben, Horgan, Cussen and Fraggie were worse?
Add Niall Mac and Luke as well.
Ah heās not the worst at all wyt. The ball played to him was crap for the most part. He also needs cute corner forwards to hang off him. In fairness Paudi Sull did his best, and given time he could work out with him. Iād like to Pat Horgan out center forward as well, start William Egan the next day if Shane Oā Neill is out and bring in Ryan Clifford to the corner(not going to happen). Or at least start Oā Farrell, and lets see what heās really made of.
Fraggie has to go.
That was all kinds of painful to watch. Quick early thoughts.
Positives:
- We should beat Antrim/Offaly, so at least weāll get a cut off Kilkenny. Weāll lose, but at least the cunts will have to go through us to get their five.
- Curran is back to being outstanding, and Gardiner is playing well too. Shane OāNeill looked quality at half back too until he went off.
- Cadogan is doing a fine job at full back, and in general our back line is very good.
- Not exactly a positive, but I canāt make my mind up about Cussenās performance. He improved as he settled into the game, and started laying off some of the ball he was winning. His lack of mobility is a problem though, and that miss in extra time was inexcusable.
Negatives:
- Ben is finished. Couldnāt be a bigger negative than that for Cork.
- Horgan was very poor again. Heās our only hope of a bit of class in the forward line with Ben misfiring, and if he doesnāt kick on soon, the next few years look very bleak for Cork.
- Aisake was awful. I think weāll have to get used to that from him. Feast or famine.
- Kilkenny will beat us with a bit to spare if we play them, though our back line is probably too good for them to completely hammer us.
Antrim V Cork & Tipp V Galway.
Tipp-Galway should be a cracker.
Cork V Kilkenny All-Ireland semi-final. I predict a massacre. Waterford V Tipp/Galway will be good.
TBF Luke has had two bad injuries over the last few years, that can affect players in terms of speed, which is OāFarrellās main attribute. Something similar happened to Paudie a couple of years back.
