Official Arsenal FC Thread - 2015/16

Stoke City under Pulis were as entertaining as Arsenal in the last 5 years.

Arsenal do generally try to play football particularly before christmas.

Wouldā€™nt take away from Stokeā€™s long balls into the box for effectiveness, you play to your strengths. Just a football fanā€™s preference at the end of the day.

Canā€™t agree with you on Stoke.

Wenger has pedalled the excuses for years that they were losing out to the three other elite super franchises Man U, Man City & Chelsea who were outspending them. The problem he has trying to explain away this season is they are languishing behind Leicester and Spurs two sides outside the elite club of the four super franchises and who both (most strikingly in Leicesterā€™s case) have only a fraction of the resources at Wengerā€™s disposal.

In fairness the clues are all in there. Not one world class player in the Arsenal set up. Ozil occasionally performs but the rest of them are donkeys or rejects from better clubs.

They have 159 million quid in the bank.

Would you believe it. Weā€™ve only gone and taken the lead against the run of play against the Yids. Ramsey from great work from Welbeck & Bellerin.

What a half from Welbeck. The Yids have no answer to the questions he is asking their defence.

Lovely goal but thereā€™s absolutely no way Gabriel and Mertesacker will keep Spurs out and when a goal goes in the heads will drop.

Yeah, Per looks particularly nervy but itā€™s all weā€™ve got to work with. In fairness, Coquelin& Elneny are offering a bit of protection in front of them.

We took an awfully long time to settle but at least we didnā€™t concede while playing poorly. Ospina did make a crucial save from a deflected Alli effort.

And here comes the self destruction.

Coquelin with a second yellow after a rash needless challenge. Double fuck.

A draw here would be a huge result now.

So very predictable. The sending off will give them an excuse but Arsenal FC is crumbling. Itā€™s painful to watch the Wenger era end like this.

This could turn into a tonking. :worried:

The Boss looks a broken man.

Where do they go from here?

17 minutes left in the game still pal. As long as thereā€™s only a goal in it, anything can happen.

Back down to earth unfortunately.

:astonished:
