Official Arsenal FC Thread - 2015/16

Do Arsenal have to beat the Greeks by more than the Greeks beat them in the Emirates?

Need to win by two goals OR win by one goal scoring at least three.

Sanchez off with a hamstring injury.

Arsenal just need to focus on getting 40 points. They’re fucked without Sanchez.

He was complaining about it and Wenger still played him. Madness.

Good battling point there for Arsenal.

A winless November in the EPL for Woolwich. Seemingly November has been the worst month throughout Wengers tenure - yielding an average of just 1.6 points a game. At least with today’s point at Carrow Road, two points have been picked up this November.

Yet more injuries though with Koscielny and Sanchez in the wars now. I’d be interested to hear what @caoimhaoin has to say about the strength and conditioning regime at Highbury.

Hard to see anyone stopping Arsenal now. They have got through their bad run of form and are still only two points off the top with an injury ravaged squad.

With so many players coming back fresh after Christmas, we could have the league wrapped up by March.

It’s great squad management by Wenger to ensure so many players are getting mid season breaks.

There is alot of talk about it in the S&C world actually. The academy is making huge strides with Des Ryan and have divided the injuries in 3. Without having a great insight the word is that alot of this is being laid at Wengers door. He doesn’t listen to staff and they also focus too much on small sided games and strength training is not enforced (tgis was a couple of years ago though, may have changed)
I’d be interested to know what Sloans role is and what they think about him working with Mayo.

Here is an insight though and might give an indication of the prevailing thinking

“An indication of the success of our fitness is the amount of late goals we have been scoring”

Thats quite a flawed outlook from an S&C POV. They also have a “fitness coach” and then a S&C staff. He’s in his 50’s. Alarm bells. Could be wronging the guy but the fact there is even a split is revealling.

It would give the impression that S&C is only there for token reasons and something forced on them for the “look” or players request etc.

Also noticed Johnny O 'Connor on the staff. Large Irish contingent.

they have an oirish guy over there now and they have the worst injury record for any club in europe over the last 10 years. he must be abysmal but why would they hire someone from oireland in the 1st place?

1-0 up at Villa Park.

Giroud Penalty.

Cunt of a ref almost missed the foul on Walcott but an eagle eyed linesman thankfully called the ref back.

Mesut Özil is a joy to watch.

Back to his best alright. #ajoy

Ozil lays it on a plate for Ramsey to make it 2-0.

Christ but Ozil really is on a different level to anything in the EPL right now.

Ah lovely. That was reminiscent of the Arsenal of old.

Typical Arsenal crumble in full flow here.

Great shift from Walcott & Campbell. Campbell has been excellent for the last month, delighted he is finally showing his worth for Arsenal.

Woolwich should really be challenging strongly for the title. They do have almost all of the tough away games in the 2nd half of the season though so that will really tell where they are. They still have to go to Spurs, Everton, Man U, Man City (home & away in fact), Liverpool & Stoke. I’d still have doubts about their capacity to win on the road. They’re one of the few sides who didn’t pick up anything at Stamford Bridge this season.

GTFOOH you cunt.
