If i read it correctly, the Belfast flight on the jet was better. Sent the driver in the car to pick him up at Belfast Airport as he wanted to fly in on the private jet. Then lied about the PSNI in an effort to get out of it. This is, in fact, an absolute scandal. The head of state of the Republic telling lies, according to themselves, about a newly formed police service of Northern Ireland, who are an effort, and part of an enormous effort, to put armed conflict and rampant sectarianism, murder and torture behind a troubled place. Its a totally disgraceful slur in the circumstances, as part of a cowardly, utterly self serving effort to get himself re-elected.
The media should be ashamed of allowing this to pass as unremarked as possible. He is the president of the country for fucks sake. Happy to lie about and slander the PSNI. Its absolutely GUBU.
And he is still favourite.
Itā€™s staggering.

Did he lie about the PSNI? Where is that?

This will be an interesting thread for @Rocko and his team of crack moderators.

@Cicero_Dandi and the rest of the 'Rastoolers must be rethinking their vote in light of this revelation.

Iirc, he said that the reason he had to fly was that the PSNI couldnā€™t provide him with security.
The PSNI have vehemently denied this. Iā€™m pretty sure this is all on record.
Iā€™ll qualify then, that either he, or the office of the PSNI are telling lies.

No surprise to see you defend the media darling Michael D either. Very, very predictable behaviour.

Did he mention the PSNI?

Donā€™t tell me youā€™ve started on the very veryā€™s too now too.

stop being such a drama queen

If the opinion polls are accurate, heā€™ll get close to 70%. That would be some whopping endorsement from the Eire electorate.

Ok I wont.

I think itā€™s reasonable that given the PSNI responded officially, and are charged with such arrangements as a matter of course, to believe that it is the PSNI he was accusing of being unable to provide him with security from the border. You can dance on the head of a pin if you like though. Tell me, for a laugh, what you think he meant, and why his story distinctly changed once the media got hold of it.
