Conor OâDriscoll was a lovely minor a few years back, one of our best forwards. Canât believe Honohan got ahead of him.
Derry match on tomorrow night, highlights of Laois Cork after it.[/quote]
Cheers. Suprised to see a BSG fan here.
How so? Tis a great show, obviously the reimagining that is.
Conor Oâ Driscoll is playing.
I feel sorry for Honohan, he is already going to be labeled as a daddys pick and only 18, although he is not supposed to be like the other sons, who are all sound. Fine player in fairness, but certainly not better than Barry Oâ driscoll.
He by right should be over playing for Liverpool anyway.
for the benefit of Sid
AS THE excitement mounts ahead of Shamrock Roversâ first game in the new Tallaght Stadium tomorrow night, manager Michael OâNeill has dismissed suggestions that his side need to produce a performance worthy of the occasion in front of the sell-out crowd.
Rovers announced that they have had to temporarily put a stop to the sale of season tickets â 2,000 of which have already been sold â after the opening home game against Sligo Rovers sold out yesterday.
With demand still high for the Hoopsâ historic âfirst home gameâ since moving out of Glenmalure Park 22 years ago, the club released a statement to announce that all 3,500 tickets have been sold and the sale of season tickets will resume next Wednesday.
OâNeill, however, played down the pressure on his side and insisted that getting the three points under any circumstances will be the priority, rather than a display of total football in front of the bulging crowds and television cameras.
âEveryone wants to go out and play fantastic football for 90 minutes, but football doesnât work like that and weâll have to do all of the horrible parts of the game to get a result,â he said. "I think we have the right characters and the right players in our dressing room to go and get a result on Friday night and thatâs our main focus.
âFor the players, Iâm sure theyâll enjoy playing in front of a full house. Obviously weâre building a new team here with seven new players and itâs a chance for those players to get the supporters on their side early.â

Meant the nemo lad Barry.
What kind of a name is âNemoâ for a club anyway? What made them call it that?
From pukepedia-
The story of Nemo Rangers Hurling & Football Club can be traced to before the start of the last century when in 1893 Rangers took part in the juvenile football championship. The origins of the Nemo side of the club has a unique story and begins around 1910 when the name Nemo meaning nobodies was given to a group of North Monastery pupils who wished to play our national games and were outlawed by their rugby playing fellow students. Pupils from the Turners Cross - South Parish area adopted the name and formed the Nemo club in 1915.

RTE and Mac agree with me - Laois are simply the superior footballing team. By 5 at least.
Your taking the word of RTE and a Wexford man on a football match? Jesus Turenne, have you been drinking alot recently?
huh?is that an attempt at a wisecrack?
Wouldnât you be better off taking your daughter to the park or something.
Thought you were going smoking dope for the weekend anyway.

No thanks, i have other ways of opening my mind and chilling out.
Cork hammering the shit out of Kerry in the Under-21 football. 11 points ahead, nearly over.
Why are Kerry so shit at u-21? We even beat them a few years ago.
Donât know, just listening to the radio sounds like they didnât give a shit, poor level of skills as well. Its a young Cork side against a very experienced Kerry one, there should have been only one victor.
Anyway, 1 - 17 Cork 0 - 9 Kerry. Apparently Ciaran Sheehan had a great game.
Dublin have been utterly shambolic in the second half here.
I bet thereâs a heap of cheltenham money on the cunts as well. How could you back Dublin? What pleasure could you take in it? They just do not have it.
In stark contrast to Derry, there is no method in the way Dublin play football. I mean, what the fuck is their gameplan? They look clueless, and are as overrated as the Galway hurlers.
