i like the way Limerick are trotting along nicely, under the radar, all competitive games won or lost by a score, no bullshit no hype, while 3 of our 4 Munster neighbours are falling apart.
looks promising
Lads, would Limerick at 11/2 for Munster be decent value? Who will they play if they beat Waterford? Is the Limerick Waterford match a quarter final or a semi final?
Thats cracking odds, theyāre guaranteed to get to a Munster Final, after that its a one off. Youād get value for your money there.
Listening to Ollie Moran yesterday it sounded as though yesterdays game meant nothing to them, its all about the Cship. A fantastic attitude, to be expected of a team coached by a gent like Justin.
GAA have also devised a cunning ploy to get the Dublin Football fans in to the stadium on time.
They have the Dublin v Antrim LSHC quarter final as a curtain raiser to the Dublin v Meath football quarter final.

Will it work? I doubt it.
Wonāt work at all Iād say, Iād even doubt that they expect it to work themselves. Tough environment for Antrim to make their Leinster championship debut.
Well Well you certainly know an awful lot about waterford peopleā¦oh thats right you earn your living here off us.
Now to say iām not a hurling man is like saying the Blaa is made in Kerry. Iāll have you know iāve attended more hurling matches in the last decade than you have had hot dinners.
You also mentioned THE 3 greatest Waterford hurlers of all time why wouldnāt any one be proud to support them

You completely contradict yourself here Cian, You say you are a hurling man and then proclaim that Browne, Mullane and Kelly are the three greatest Waterford hurlers of all time
What about the likes of John Keane and Tom Cheastyā¦
By your second statement I would say that you are nothing more than a fair weather fan

Iām more of a modern era man, sure the older generation had their moments but are you really telling me that put Mullane and Kelly up against any Waterford hurler of an other generation they wouldnāt come out on top. The fitness and commitment levels are poles apart and i firmly believe that the modern man is the better man
Tom Cheasty has more all ireland medals than them three combined, Keane made the team of the millenium and has as many railway cup medals as Mick Mackey and Jack Lynchā¦
Just because a lad is fitter and more committed than a lad 50 years ago doesnāt make him a better hurlerā¦By your logic the likes of Robbie Keane would be a better player than Puskas because he is in a more professional set up
I know its very early, but what about this team for Waterford/ championship for the Cork folk hereā¦
Martin Coleman
Conor OāSullivan Eoin Cadogan Brian Murphy
Tom Kenny Ronan Curran Shane OāNeill
Ben OāConnor Jerry OāConnor
Graham Callinan Niall McCarthy Timmy McCarthy
Pa Horgan Diarmuid OāSullivan Cathal Naughton
Its far from ideal, but we would have physical presence in the center forward line and at full foward, and about as strong a center-back line as I think we could put out. Iām less bothered by the goalkeeper, but maybe Colemanās longer puckouts might put greater pressure on the opposition.
Not strong enough to beat KK, but strong enough to win Munster imo.

Whereās John Gardiner? That team is a mess, nobody in Munster would fear playing that line-upā¦
Gardiner isnāt good enough, do tell me whats wrong with that team? Its stronger and more experienced then the side that beat Clare and Limerick for example.

Would switching Cadogan and O Neill be a better optionā¦Will Murphy definately be backā¦The Rock full forward :Dā¦
Surely Gardiner would hold his own at midfield if you donāt rate him as a wing backā¦Couldnāt see that team winning Munster
OāNeill is too small a presence and too loose for full-back, to good a hurler not to play in either the center back line or midfield.
Hopefully Brian Murphy will be back, in fairness there are options besides him like Jordan, Chris Murphy and OāCallaghan. Gardiner is too slow for anywhere other then full or center back, and I would have him in either. His form is shit, and his confidence is gone.
Diarmiud has been playing up forward for years for Cloyne btw.

I doubt that.
Genuine question, have you ever played a hurling game in your life. Correct me if Iām wrong here, but it seems like you started following Waterford hurling around 1998, so Iād assume you had, and probably still have no club involvement. There is nothing wrong with that at all either, but I can safely say the man you are quoting above would have played more hurling games in his life than you have ever seen let alone attended.
and I can also say that most diehard Waterford fans, not the jump on board crowd from the last ten years, would seriously question that those 3 are the best Waterford hurlers ever.
