Official NFL & NHL 2009 Thread

Dublin got their asses handed to them in Galway yesterday, another expample of them unable to cope outside the pale it seems.

Kildare got a creditable draw at home to Cork, surprised to see that. Westmeath were spanked yesterday by a Derry team who might get a few quid of my money for this years All Ireland. You read it here first folks.
Reread my post there Bandage. I said “I THINK”, I didnt say “There is nothing surer”. Of course its too early to say. All I can go on is the games I’ve seen which is Laois v Armagh and Kerry v Tyrone, two of the standard bearers for Ulster over the past 20 years.

I also saw Kildare v Laois which is relevsant given Geezers input to Kildare. While Kildare won well (due to Laois’s horrific backline), the inability of the Kildare back line to defend like they were doing last year proved very problematic.
Yes, and I THINK you are reading too much into it so far given their other games have been relatively incident free. Tyrone-Kerry’s developed into quite a bitter rivalry too and I wasn’t surprised to read about it being a dirty game.
I’d have a lot of admiration for Harte and Tyrone, but very disappointed to see a lad like this cunt captain the side. Fair play to the Kerry boys, they handled themselves well in the face of some shocking provocation.

Armagh were no better on Saturday night either against Laois. I think these new rules are driving a lot of the Northern boys blood up.
tyrone sicken me, the players act all hard & dirty playing GGA but were nowhere to be seen when the aussies slapped the GGA players around the place(so much so that the GGA suspended the series & only went back if the aussies promised to go easy on them)

why is that - its either because they are pussys & cant stand up for themselves vs bigger blokes or that they are brits & they arent committed to playing for Ireland- the fact that they are involved in loyalism & dog fighting suggests the latter

And as for the Brit thing, you sure you aren’t Kevin Myers in disguise, would explain a lot of things…

Thats true, I’ve never heard of a soccer player being involved in a sexual assault.

on the picth to another player?

The Dubs…

Just watched the tg4 highlights. Looked very sharp and hurling at a much higher tempo than any of the other teams in action at the weekend. Some serious scores and that bit of aggression they were lacking seems to be emerging. Could well be the people’s team this summer, will be interesting to see how they fare against Tipp and Kilkenny.

Nope, never.

it was good while it lasted NCC.

what a shame; but you owe us nothing NCC.

But that latest defensive line so weak and flimsey even Art could get a score off it.

thanks maire, now let me refresh your memory NCC

is that a newcastle jersey - im not an epl fan Art so you will have to put that in context for me( as a gga man & an epl man )

newcastle and wimbledon jersies NCC

Small world you live in ncc, very small world:rolleyes:

Oh dear!

NCC - You think Rovers fans (or any fans for that matter) breaking up cars, fighting with opposition fans or causing general unrest in or around LOI grounds (i know your not a EPL man) is “High Jinks”. But you think the Tyrone footballers are pussy’s and Brits.
Am i correct in saying all that?

On that alone, i’ll not nominate NCC for IOTM this month.
Fair Play NCC.

By the way. That is the impression you have given over a few threads concerning the above issues. But one step at a time for now.

McMenamin handed six-week ban
Ryan McMenamin will miss all but one of Tyrone’s remaining National Football League pool matches after being handed a six-week ban by the GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) last night.

The suspension follows an incident involving the Tyrone defender and Kerry’s Paul Galvin in Omagh the Sunday before last.

Television footage caught McMenamin grabbing Galvin in the groin area in the 17th minute, an infraction that was missed at the time by match referee Jimmy White.

Tyrone may yet opt to appeal the sanction but as it stands McMenamin will miss the matches against Derry, Galway, Westmeath and Donegal. He will only return for the final Division One meeting with Mayo. He would also be available for the semi-finals, should the county qualify.
