He’s a lovely way of cutting fellas.
He was in a thread with Micheal Lundy of Corofin a while back about Ian Burke and a couple more committing to Galway.
All was going well until Paraic said “Your just not good enough yourself” to Lundy.

I love in house games during training. We’d rarely have enough numbers for 15 v 15 but the occasional time we did it was a great experience. So much more enjoyable than constant drills.
On your point about Limerick senior soccer, I hear that Aisling Annacotty have become a bit of a powerhouse now with high membership funding a serious influx of new signings at senior level. They’ve left Janesboro in the dust apparently.
Yup, and Gearóid Hegarty. He was a very poor striker of a ball at 21 years of age. He has a brilliant strike of a ball now. It wasn’t in training games at 90 mph he developed that skill.
Aisling are up there with Pike, Fairview and Regional.
It’s sad to see what is happening in the 'Boro mate, Anthony Kelly of Kelly Brothers infamy is running the club now. Running it clean in to the ground. They’ll be relegated soon.
Aisling and Regional are fucking huge clubs. it’s scary the size of them. Aisling B, Fairview B and Regional B are Premier A I think and doing well
Aisling have 4 or 5 full time staff now I think!
Aisling wanted the vacant Limerick loi club spot apparently. Would have been well setup for it, but they wouldn’t draw the city wide support required. I think it was the correct decision. Even if they would probably be a better run outfit.
They have ridiculous numbers, like the Kilmacud crokes of Limerick soccer.
Ya, were a bit miffed not to get it.
I heard they are (or are planning to) run some sort of after school academy. Go straight from school, get fed, do home work, train, home. 5 days a week.
I couldn’t believe that when I heard a few weeks back that Shamrock Rovers had their own school that youth hopefuls attend. Is it just Rovers lads in the school or is it open to the public?
Ashfield? Its Private.
Bazunu did the Leaving Cert there.
But im sure @The_Selfish_Giant can provide more insight
Going back to Kevs point on kicking points or hitting shots. I think his point is focused on the already elite performers.
What he ignores or fails to understand is 99% of players still can’t use their weak side or foot unopposed.
There is a lot of intercounty footballers you wouldnt trust to kick it with their good leg
Jumpers for goal posts. Last man back. Next goal wins.
Val is an alright sort. I hope he is ok.
I can only speak for spud hockey but a decent portion of training session need to build in skills improvement, particularly when dealing with younger groups. You’ve only got 20-30 mins so your job is to display the correct technique and just hope that some of them will put in the hours at home.
It’s becomes obvious what players are putting in the hours at home.
Looks like its going to be pick your poison… Either it stays under 17 or under 18’s cant play adult.
It’s pure petulance from the GAA. They are sulking the age change didnt work.
It is. But the change in culture across the board is just mental in the last 10 years.
Two clubs in the Under 17 County Final in Tipp on Saturday have pulled all players from playing a Dean Ryan (U16.5) knockout game with their school today. Because its a county final i see the clubs perspective but there is a culture now that says 2 games a week for a young lad is going to kill them when its nonsense.
Did exact same recently similar outcome.
