Might be a needle in a haystack question but is there any loose data out there regards age profiles within underage grades reflecting division status e.g. Roinn A 9-11 players up to age, Roinn B 7-9 players up to age, Roinn C 5-7 players etc etc.
Doubt there’s anything GAA wise.
You only need to look at gradings for ten years to realise its urban clubs at A and rural at b/C in most cases.
Yes absolutely a numbers game for the most part. Those numbers generally translate into ‘up to age’ players at each grade.

In fairness i picked up on this at the time. No one would bat an eyelid if he doesn’t track back there but he does.
Mannion for all his talent is some man to put a shift in. Even in the infamous Club All Ireland Final when he was on one leg and out of sorts in general play, his tackling all game was unbelievable.
It’s very sad that this is the case though. What a ruination of a game
