There are several reasons why someone saying they will vote for the Green Party if you stop using ChatGPT could be considered ethically wrong:
Coercion and Manipulation: This statement can be seen as an attempt to manipulate your behavior by using political leverage. Coercion undermines the principle of free will and informed decision-making, which are essential in both ethical interactions and democratic processes.
Misuse of Political Influence: Voting is a civic duty that should be based on informed choices about policies and candidates. Using a vote as a bargaining chip for personal or professional gain misuses the political process and diminishes the integrity of democratic participation.
Conflict of Interest: If the person making this statement has a vested interest in your use of ChatGPT, their suggestion could represent a conflict of interest. Ethical behavior requires transparency and the avoidance of actions that could be perceived as self-serving or biased.
Undermining Ethical Standards: Ethical standards in technology use, such as those related to AI and ChatGPT, are in place to ensure responsible and fair practices. Encouraging someone to abandon these standards for personal or political gain undermines the broader ethical framework that governs responsible technology use.
Interesting. Shane Folan has been unsuccessful in the last two council elections so they didn’t have a ready made replacement. Alison Field got elected to the council but she was a first time candidate & would only have recognition in Raheny. I don’t think anyone else from Labour in the DBN catchment area got in. Not getting many votes in the council elections didn’t prevent many SF candidates from doing well in the last general election though.
They know Folan hasnt a hope, based on his local election campaigns They sniffed around a fair bit for others to nominate. Yer man polls very well in a small part of fingal but there aint no seat for him there. Besides, he seems to be relishing his time in chains. Not surenhe has any appetite for nationals.

In totally unrelated news The High Court has agreed to pause the effects of a Dublin Airport passenger cap that was due to imminently affect airlines’ access to take-off and landing slots over the summer 2025 period
Aer Lingus, Ryanair and a consortium of American carriers brought an urgent application over the Irish Aviation Authority’s (IAA’s) decision to limit passenger numbers to 25.2 million between late March and October.
Tik Tok will ultimately be a calamity. There’s only so much hand wringing a society can take…
The best thing for Sinn Fein in the medium term would be a clear FG victory with Simon at the wheel. None of this ffg power sharing for Si to fall back on… y-fronts guy will be the undoing of FG.
