McEntee is useless. She’s part of the new age hand wringing i want to be everyone’s friend type of politician that achieves the sum of fuck all.

Ah not really - he is what he is and to be honest they’re all at versions of the same this election. It’s depressing how low-grade the efforts at grabbing some headlines have been. Some of the promises are bonkers too. Simon Harris is at it big-time - presuming the electorate are idiots.

the twix gang are up early this morning
McGahon’s presence on the Fine Gael ticket on Louth takes the biscuit. It also takes the lovely caramel and the chocolate that you get on a Twix. Particularly good with a cup of tea.
Some people say McGahon should have been strapped to a rocket and sent to Mars. Sinn Fein are offering a Bounty on his head.
There were some careless Wispas within Fine Gael that McGahon’s past would come back to bite him, but they weren’t listened to. He’ll need a serious transfer Boost from his running mate to get elected.

Harris is starting to get on my tits but I checked in with my mam at the weekend & she thinks he’s a lovely fella & very good. If he can keep the auld wans onside with his fuinneamh nua & positive soundbites then they won’t be bate.

Simon Harris was in pulling pints with Pat Fox over the weekend. That kind of thing wins votes in rural Ireland.
If he was pulling pints with Paddy Cullen would that win votes in Dublin?

He’s pulled a hape of pints over the last few weeks. More than hes ever drank I would say. Not that thats a bad thing mind. Pat showed the same directness he had as a player when he brought up the VAT issue and costs of running a business which has resulted in many small businesses up and down the country closing. I got the impression Harris didnt do enough to earn his vote.
14 extra TDs after this election so, whatever else, at least Ireland’s chronic shortage of politicians is being addressed anyway

We need more politicians and the shrewdies on the ground know that one of the biggest mistakes made by a gubberment in recent times was the decision to abolish town councils.
