That’s good to know. I even checked the FG website to see what they have to say about him and they mention his business background and how he runs his own small business. I take this to mean his job as a TD is a sideline.
I will say this, he got fuckall party support for years and won the seat himself. Reilly had a big team canvassing for him and the party threw their weight behind him. Farrell would have been out canvassing by himself. I also find it a bit mental that he’s never been given any real role in fg at all. Positions being handed out like sweeties and he’s never in the shake up, and coming from an area you’d imagine the blueshirts would want to keep. He must barely give a fuck.
He has zero profile, never on the TV or radio or even mentioned. All very odd.
It would have been nice if Richard had dressed appropriately for a live tv debate. He looks like a lad who’s going down to the pub.
It’s a sneer that a Bond villain would be proud of.
A gold star description.
Detested by the scouts too who were mentally stabbed by him
Back to the Merrion to celebrate no doubt.
‘What’s the name of that country that’s going through the hard time?’
‘Ukraine’
‘That’s it’

I don’t think Harris did too well last night judging by the reaction on the radio this morning. Justine McCarthy was on Morning Ireland and didn’t seem too impressed, I think the way he spoke to Mary Lou was a bit much.
Making the move from short soundbites on social media to prolonged exposure on tv must be tricky.
Harris needs to sit down and do a 3 hr long form with Joe Rogan.
A few observations:
Harris is a strange man. Just seems socially maladjusted and prone to tantrums.
Mary Lou has pissed away SF’s greatest chance to break through. Stands for everything and nothing and is a poor debater. Holding off on the manifesto until today has backfired.
Roderic O’Gorman did quite well but will it be enough to stem the inevitable Green wipeout. I don’t think so.
Ivana Bacik also held her own and Labour could surprise a few people in this election with some small gains. Lab & SD are basically the same party, though, and should really merge if they are to exert any real influence. Cian O’Callaghan’s best work was simply standing there.
RBB, Toibín and Michael Collins are pretty much an electoral irrelevance and have no interest in being part of government. Joan Collins doesn’t seem to have any interest in anything at all.
Micheál Martin was Micheál Martin and avoided shooting himself in the foot.
Dressed better than Collins who was unable to close his shirt buttons.
Who would you get instead? Pearce would be a step up, but he’s a great man to talk when he’s prepared. He spoofs when asked anything he isn’t prepared for.
They’ve a lot of kind of shouty opposition types.
Poor old Pearse got an awful hiding in a debate with some FFG nomark from Westmeath on Matt Cooper one night. He was flapping and wailing like someone you’d see on here after a few too many whiskeys.
Fair play to Gannon there. I don’t really like him but he makes some very valid points and you’d have to think a vote for Hutch is a waste.
I keep hearing that about mary Lou making a bollox of it but what should she have actually done differently? She always seems to be opposing everything as far as I can see.
