I think Malcolm Noonan has a good shot of retaining his seat in Carlow/KK.
He has a big personal vote in KK city, people will vote for him and still hate the Greens, he has been a community, heritage and arts activist for decades, and he will be transfer friendly from the city Labour candidate and both John McGuinness and David Fitzgerald, also city based. He will also pick up transfers from the rest of the left, Adrienne Wallace’s (PBP) transfers got him over the line last time
The Sinn Fein candidate is not as well known, the general SF vote might see her through but I’m not so sure

Looks very likely, polls have Chap Cleere topping the poll, (personally, I find this inexplicable, he’s affable but limited), Jennifer Murnane O’ Connor will definitely take, probably the only, Carlow seat, she’s something like 1/20 and the McGuinness machine is out so he will hold

He needs the script because he is an actor. Every aspect of his persona is contrived, the man has zero substance. To make it worse he is going for a US presidential style rather than a typical Taoiseach style.
What really grates with me is there was speculation that FG were pulling a bit of a stroke and leaving him there as a patsy on a temporary basis, but that is all forgotten about now and there is a realistic probability that this fraud could be the leader of our country for the next few years.
