The 'Harris hop has become the Harris drop.

MLMD and MM seem like sound people that can relate to the general public, Harris is a dweeb

Absolutely.

It was a mistake for Varadkar to go into gov the last time. Def would be this time off a declining vote.

Time for SF and FF to get a deal done.

FF 45
SF 39
FG 37

is what I’m seeing

Greens will do well to get 2.

SD and Labour could get 5 or 6.

FSF with Labour next government?

SF/IRA and FF seems to make the most sense.
Martin has ruled it out but he rules everything out until he gets a whiff of power. FG probably need a period in opposition to rebuild after losing so much experience. McEntee, Harris have all shown ineptitude on many levels. Pascal Donohue looks the only high profile one with ability.

-6 pts is a seismic shift really. Its a disaster for FG. The more exposure Harris has got the more the public have turned their backs or reached for the remote and FG have placed all their eggs in this misplaced perception that Harris is somewhat a figure of adoration. It shows how out of tune they are.

This latest poll was largely accurate last time out (within 1 pt). It was carried out over 4 days with only 1 full day post Kanturk included.
Harris likely scuppered FG chances on the debate with NCH fiasco but I believe there is more room for them to fall over the next few days. It would be hilarious to see them around 15% after a giveaway budget and riding high in polls back in September. They look to have well and truly shot their load now.

You wouldn’t think lost FG votes would go SF’s way.

Could be a lift for Soc Dems, FG/FF independents and FF.

The lack of incumbents running again will cost them quite a few seats too.

Need to rebuild the bench now.

We could have quite a wait for a new Government to be formed.

Might benefit them indirectly when it comes to last seats in some constituencies but agreed most likely benefit inds, greens, lab.

The numbers are still there for FFG to return but with no revolving T? Just Mick? That would be some kick to FG. I presume they’d rather go into opposition than be a dog to kick for FF? But Harris will be desperate to keep a prominent position.

Is that reflected in Irish attitudes?

They haven’t got the quality of candidate -McEntee being rolled out tells a story. Paschal needs to be front and centre this week to stem the bleed.

The growth of the independent vote in Ireland and us sneering at Americans voting for Trump :joy:

There’s a touch of wishful thinking here.

You misunderstood mate - the question was who is best to deal with the climate crisis

the party led by the person who set up friends of the earth is on 2% while climate change deniers are on 10%

Paddy can’t be talked to. It’s a dark day for proponents of active travel.

Are you saying the climate doesn’t respect democracy?

Labour & SD would have similar views to the Greens on Active Travel so if any 3 get in we are doing well

either that or anyone that supports Aontu is a flat earther

Friends of the Earth have endorsed The Labour Party’s manifesto ahead of the Greens. Is this true mate?

Apparently slippery Si didn’t put his internet adds up properly

I couldn’t find any specific information regarding Friends of the Earth endorsing The Labour Party’s manifesto ahead of the Greens. To get the most accurate and up-to-date information, I recommend checking the latest news or official statements from Friends of the Earth and The Labour Party.
