I did indeed, loads of porn too more importantly.
Mike Russo has a concrete head, how he survived Todd Duffees bombs is beyond me, some comeback ko from him. Was delighted John Hathaway beat that prick Diego Sanchez. I saw Hathaway live in Dublin when he beat Tom Egan and he gets better every time. He seems sound too and is not one of the usual mouthy cocky brits that are in the UFC like Bisping etc.
Dan Miller will surely be cut now, that’s his third loss in a row, Bisping is a sickener though, he always plays it safe and never looks to finish only against cans.
Don’t know why the UFC announced before the Evans/Rampage fight that the winner gets a title shot as it completely ruined the fight. Evans was always going to play it safe and do the takedown route once that was announced where as before he might have traded for a while with Rampage due to their dislike for each other.
Duffees knockout was sensational… Dissapointed with the Evans victory, why the fuck did rampage allow him to recover in the 3rd?. I also only cuaght up with 112/ 113 over the weekend. Kimbo was taken to town by mitrione, who looks class everytime I see him, and shogun really showed his class against Machida… As for Silva against Maia… Some piss take.
I made a stupid mistake in the UFC that Mittrione/Kimbo was on. I doubled Mittrione who was 11/10 with Sam Stout who was only 8/11 against Jeremy Stephens. Stout lost a close decision but in hindsight it was a ridiculous thing to do, I should have lumped on the 11/10 only as I originally had intended. Stout has won for me before at big prices so I stuck with him but at 8/11 it was a stupid move given the risk involved with Stephens. Can’t complain though doing well off the ufc lately.
Did you see that toole Melvin Guillard asking for a title shot after a two fight winning streak…clown
I’ve a tenner on Paulo Thiago to win by knockout at 5/1 in this weekends UFC, not worth risking much
more on that sort of a bet.
If I get to a shop tomorrow it will be 50euro on Ben Rothwell/Gilbert Yvel not to go the distance at 5/4 with Paddy.
Let’s hope my recent luck with the UFC continues but I somehow doubt it.
Just as I suspected it would my recent winning run came to an abrubt end… It was so sickening and frustrating to watch that useless gassed big ape Ben Rothwell lie on top of an equally gassed Gilbert Yvel for three rounds and not have the energy to throw a few hard strikes to get the ref to stop it. I could see how it was going to play out after the first round ended and it sickened me.
Carlos Condit is one tough fucker, unless you put him away he’s dangerous until the last second of every fight. It was a right cunt of a ufc to get a bet up. I thought Paulo Thiago would beat Kampman easily and Kampman totally dominates. I thought Barry would ko CroCop and CroCop wins by submission, that’s crazy shit. Barry made a big mistake, he seemed to think after he knocked him down twice that he could end it whenever he chose to and just kind of played around smiling instead of jumping on top to ground and pound him. Barry also broke his foot and hand during the fight which did not help his cause.
Sad to see Chuck get ko’d again, he’ll never get another UFC fight again, thank god as his punch resistance is completely gone. Franklins a tough fucker, he kept throwing punches with both hands despite the fact one of his arms was broken from blocking a kick. I’d love to see him get on a winning run for a title shot but I think Shogun, Machida, Evans and possibly Forest Griffin would beat him. It’s funny as I could see him outpointing Rampage if he survives the first round without getting clipped.
I was kind of glad CroCop won, hopefully he’ll have his confidence back now and go back to throwing his leg kicks for his next few fights(If the UFC give him another contract).
Chris Leben is a zombie!! Some fight and on a two week turn around… As for the main event, lots of people saying it should have been called in the first but I think Brock, while hurt, was doing just about enough. Carwin reckons his body cramped up and had nothing in his legs rather than gassing. A shame either way, would have loved to see it go to the wire. The power carwin has in his fists is phenomenal…
Ref was right to let it go as Brock was defending intelligently and trying to move his position, not just turtling up as you often see. In fairness I was sure Rosenthal would stop it though, I’d say he was just scared shitless incase Lesnar got up and went ape at him.
Leben appeared to be knocked out on his feet that time Rogan said he was a zombie. Gas man Rogan.
Any thoughts on UFC 121?
'Hon Lesnar ya big whore.
Shogun must be still injured.
Don’t get why he is such an outsider against Jones.
I stuck 20 on him at 13/8 with Bet365, also did 10 double Mike Pyle and Luiz Cane and 5 on Faber/Wineland to be fight of the night at 7s. Shogun coming off surgery I suppose might reflect the price maybe.
I did a ricockulous accumulator.
I meant to include Pyle because I liked Hathaway and Pyle beat the shit out of him last time.
I liked Marshall when he was in TUF, nice to see hime get another chance.
You’re some man for the accums, did you ever get a big one in on any of them? I can barely pick single winners although the last month has been good to me on the gambling front after a horrendous two years of losers.
Jon “Bones” Jones – who has a huge UFC fight tonight in New Jersey with Shogun Rua – just subdued a robber with an awesome fighting move – TMZ has learned.
Jones was doing what has become his ritual before a fight … he was meditating at a park in Patterson, NJ when he heard a woman scream, “I’ve been robbed!”
Jones began chasing the man for a good distance. When the fighter caught up with the alleged robber, he knocked the guy’s legs out from under him, then placed him in a figure-four leg lock until Paterson cops arrived.
Jones’ fight tonight – UFC 128 – is in Newark.
Jones tells TMZ, “It was a great pre-fight warm-up for me!”
UPDATE: Jones tweeted about the incident, and even posted a photo (see below) his driver took of the aftermath. He wrote, “I caught him…Coach Jackson finished him … It feels so good to help others. It gives me power and energy.”
I’ve had a poor enough run in the past month or 2.
I’ve been very close on some UFC accumulators. I have had much better success in other fields.
Had a 9 parter come in last summer[Hurling and Soccer based].
Had 5 fights and Rigondeaux.
Came off. €125. Nice
Cain Velasquez vs Junior Dos Santos on Setanta Ireland on now for the heavyweight title.
What a fucking fight
Brock Lesnar vs Alistair Overeerm on soon. Should be a short fight. I cant see this lasting more than 2 rounds. It depends if Brock can get him down on the ground early and strike the fuck out of him. If he lets Alistair strikes him hes fucked.
Let’s go Lesnar!
