Oil Prices Still Hovering Near $100 A Barrel Mark

Circle K in Glenville, Dunmore Road there. I’d never refuel there. The Maxol and Applegreen out the road are always cheaper.

This is actually true. During the major oil crisis in the 70s the speed limit was reduced from 60mph to 55 for this very purpose. @anon67715551 will confirm.

Why is Eamon Ryan getting lambasted for this suggestion so I wonder

Tis well known tbh. Also you’d want to be a mug to be holding the handle fully down on the gun when refuelling and have the nozzle fully into the tank.

With the weather today, youd be pushing it to go above 100kph anyway

It’s his ‘9 euro pint haha chicken wings keep us safe from covid’ moment. Although that actually made no sense at all. Actually he’s had a few of these moments. Lettuce on window sills, wolves.

Falling asleep in the Dail chamber.

The Dutch brought it in last year for environmental reasons. Reduced to 100 km/h from 6am to 7pm

That was a feeling more than an idea

Circle K fuel is & always has been a rip off price wise.

Petrol stations hiking prices today before the reduction tomorrow according to RTÉ

Other Governments are suggesting thia too

Oil down to $114, between everything including currency fluctuations the price should come down 30c tomorrow. If it doesn’t, don’t be afraid to be vocal about it. They have been gouging the shit out of people over the past few weeks

I’m gonna have to put something in tonight, 1.95 in Limerick is as good as I saw this evening

I got it for 1.80 in the big smoke Sunday and I was cursing the bastards, more or less €2 everywhere today. Some move in three days. They are milking the shit out of it

Driving around for miles looking for the best price is typical cager madness

I would be interested in someone doing the math on it to see how much of a difference would it need to be to make a 5 minute drive worthwhile.

I would also be interested on the math on whether it makes more sense to only half fill a tank, rather than carry the extra weight
