On this day

It’s all about personal choice really. Some lads will dig in to defend such opinions. Not me.

In saying all that, one of my favorite Floyd albums is one which gets zero love, A momentary lapse of reason, it was the new album when I started to notice them, my older brother was a huge fan
On the turning away is my favorite song

On this day 175 years ago the Irish Tricolour was hoisted for the first time by Meagher of The Sword at 33 The Mall Waterford

Is that address now the Granville?

No the Granville is where he was born. 33 The Mall is across the road from the Theatre (pronounced Tee-Ayter) Royal. An American once remarked to me that it was extraordinary that 33 the Mall was so down at heel. If it was America it would be a national monument and be visited by thousands every day.

Fitting that O’Dowd the Redbreast brought this valuable and historic occasion to our attention.

We had the exact same conversation this time last year
Just swap @Fagan_ODowd for Conor McGregor :man_shrugging:

Brutus was a bit of a cunt. He gave Popeye’s missus an awful hard time after.

He’d have been well cancelled by now.

He would, the beardy cunt.

Day 15 1981

They were ahead of the game with the naming of swee pea too, a fine gender neutral name. Paul would approve.
