Trigger didnt.
iirc, Ash were next on stage and rocked the shite out of it - was perfect timing. Then Moby came on and congratulated Ireland on winning the world cup
Trigger made do with Lillies. Hey Jimmy. One hundred and eighty!
It was also the same day England beat Germany 5-1 in Munich
On this day 10 years ago the legendary commentator Brian Moore died.

Henrik Larsson, the king of kings, was born on this day 40 years ago. Happy birthday to the great man.
Ah that’s fantastic. Happy Birthday Henrik. One of my proudest possessions is a “Tiocfaidh ar LArsson” t-shirt from the Irish Fiddler pub in San Eugenio, Tenerife. Watched the 6-2 there and drunkenly gave the Brit Huns plenty of stick on the strip that night, scurrying away before they could beat the shit out of me as quickly as Agathe progressing down the wing.
That pass into Hanahoe on :58 is fucking delightful.
Hanahoe, though he didn’t know it at the time, would later represent me in a court of law.
On this day in 1891, Charles Stewart Parnell died.
Snooker star Paul Hunter died on this day 5 years ago at the age of 27. He was a great player.

27 years ago today - a good day for Ireland, not a great day.

Surely this can’t be accurate, Fritzl anyone…
On this day in 1920 Terence Joseph MacSwiney died after 75 days on hunger strike.
Very influential not only in our independence struggle but also inspired others such as Gandhi.
Other figures who counted MacSwiney as an influence include Ho Chi Minh who was working in London at the time of MacSwiney’s death and said of him, “A nation that has such citizens will never surrender”.
John Peel died on this day back in 2004
10 years ago tonight:
Celtic 4-3 Juventus.
Sutton, Moravcik, Del Piero and Trezeguet.
One of the great Celtic Park nights.
