Was there no sugar for your mug of tea in the house this morning?

Limerick are being perceived as weak. The wilderbeast are getting brave.

Letā€™s see how this develops

Comparing Lynch to Gleeson is not one Iā€™d ever make. Lynch is the best at what he does in the game, his touch and footwork are amazing. He is an average enough long striker of the ball considering and as @Malarkey says heā€™s coached by Kinnerks code to only use one side.

Gleeson is a rolls Royce of a player, similar enough in many ways to his club mate Ken McGrath. Iā€™d pay to watch Gleeson before Iā€™d go and watch Lynch as his highlights are more explosive than Lynches artistry.

All this talk about Lynch and Gleeson and then theres Tony Kelly who is arguably better than both of them. Plus if you want to be brutally honest about it, Kelly has been the most consistent hurler in the country for the last three years.

Nailed it.

I think Barron is better than Gleeson tbh. Having said that, Gleeson is obviously quality.

I still think TJ Reid is phenomenal.

Lynch is unreal.

Gleeson has the ā€œhighest ceilingā€ of any player ever.

He has made the great TJ Reid look like a Junior B at times over the years which there is no way on earth Lynch ever could.

If i were to take 3 Waterford players Iā€™d take de BĆŗrca, Hutchinson and barron.

Kelly is an amazing player but at his long distance wides can be frustrating at times.

He has previously went missing in big games but this has improved lately.

Ah in fairness, its been a while. Hes after getting two deserved all stars in a row and while Clare have struggled a bit over the last two years, he has almost single handidly kept them in games and damn near pulled it out of the fire against Cork last year. Hes also a joy to watch.

Iā€™d agree with that. However more often than not he is further away from his ceiling than the other current top stars who are a lot more consistent.

Kelly definitely had a few years where he was playing way below the levels he was capable of. After the heights of 2013 and a couple of years after, until the last couple of years.

Maybe it was taking on too much responsibility himself or something, but he was just wasting ball by taking on potshots from out the field and he wasnā€™t exactly working hard defensively. Probably not being picked in the right position either.

In my opinion, he needs to play close to goal while being given a certain amount of licence to roam around and heā€™s flourished in that kind of role recently. Because heā€™s got the ability to beat defenders very easily and get scores, the further away from goal he is, the better from an opposition point-of-view.

The deranged dwarf ruined Tony Kelly post 2013. Set him back a few years.

Id agree with that and it took him a few years to get over it.

Shrewd unbiased opinion.

Better than Lynch imo too. Carries the Clare team at times.

Hes carried them for the last two years in Championship. He might not have got them over the line but hes the reason they havenā€™t been beaten out the gate and have been in with a shout in most of their games heading into the last ten minutes
