Is it fair to try to rate OâShaughnessy at all? He was a superb hurler and put in some brilliant displays but never got the chance to fulfill the potential that was there. Thatâs a fucker of a disease and sure you wouldnât know how long it was brewing in him before he had to surrender to itâŚ

Forde has just turned 26. Heâs only coming into his prime. Seamie had a lot of the same stuff thrown his way for years too until he absolutely bossed it from 2014 onwards. Very different hurlers to each other, but thereâs a slot there to be the main man opening up in a year or two
