Opinion: Tj Reid

You knew watching it that he was going to turn it around, and it wasn’t that he actually made that many plays but everything he did had an effect both on the KK players around him and the Galway lads opposite.

Clare 2006 as well. We more than lived with them for 60 minutes + winning battles all over the field except for Shefflin who was a constant menace and hit 6 or 7 from play.

He kept Kilkenny in the game against Limerick in 2012.

Henry was a great ref which gives him a slight advantage.

Kilkenny were scared without him.

Although Brennan was the scoring star, he was one of their better players against Galway in 2005 too. Obviously they lost that match but he played a big part in an unlikely-looking comeback towards the end; I think they were 12 points down with about 15 minutes to go and had cut that back to 3 with two minutes left.

the king and smoking joe also reinvented themselves as players too after serious injuries which is another sign of greatness. Callanan wasn’t much good at 11 for tipp. I think shefflin when he first came on was the classic nippy corner forward with bundles off pace and an eye for goal but he turned into much more. Likewise joe was a marquee forward scorer in chief type but developed into a play making eleven. Tj isn’t really that good in close to goals scoring wise. 2 points from his last 4 knock out championship games and Matt Hanlon had a good handle on him too. Callanan and Tj have a good bit to go to reach these levels imo.

“Smoking” Joe who you completely changed your opinion on after meeting him had to get moved out of full forward as his movement was shite

Nobody can compete with Callanan scoring wise

Callanan gets by far and away the best service. He also racks up scores against dud teams. He is good but he isn’t in the same league as the king and smoking joe.

God fuckin help us

This isn’t true at all

Callanan has never had a moment like joe in 17 or the king in 09.

“The King” was shit in 09

He scored the penalty that won the game for Kilkenny. Callanan was presented with the same opportunity versus Galway a few years later and he misses his chance. The king wouldn’t pass up that sort of opportunity.

Have you ever met Callanan?

Joe was shit against Tipperary in 2017.
Henry was shit against Tipperary in 2009 and every day he went out.

Are you feeling a bit left out the focus in not on Seamie and Tipperary?

When did I say Joe was shit in 2017? Learn to read

It was the All Ireland Champions that Joe put to the sword in that 2017 semi final, not Westmeath or Antrim. Your Lorrha/North Tipperary background and all consuming hatred of Galway blinds you. You seem to develop these irrational hatred of personalities. Harry Kane another regular target of your vitriol and bile. Presumably because Harry is of Galway stock.

So you’re admitting you lied then?

I’m not from near Lorrha or even North Tipperary and love Galway mate. Not everything is about county allegiance. TJ Reid is the best forward in the game at the moment, followed by Seamus Callanan IMO

Joe Canning delivered probably the greatest ever individual performance over the last 20 minutes of a knock out championship match in Croke Park against Tipperary in the 2017 semi final. Your hatred of Galway and Joe and your inability to view things other than through the prism of your own Tipperary blinds you to this.
