All I got from it is that Cathal McCarron regrets none of his actions. The book should have been called sorrynotsorry.
The bit where Gilroy listed out all the violent incidents he was involved in and then McCarron goes well it’s hard to just stop doing something you do a lot, had me laughing out loud. The man has some serious issues. But it’s everyone else’s fault.

Gilroy was insinuating Fergus had sex with the 15 year old whereas the line always being peddled was that the just ‘met up’ on a date - it seems Gilroy knows there’s a lot more to the story
Fergus should have left it out of the book if (a) he couldn’t talk about the incident fully (b) his version of events isn’t the full truth

Just listened to it there. I know Gilroy is a smug prick but i enjoy the way he makes odious creeps like firstly Lance Armstrong and then McCarron squirm under an uncomfortable line of questioning. He won’t give these cunts a soft ride and for that fair play to him and it’s worth tuning in.

Gilroy choses easy targets. It’s not ground breaking journalism to sit there and ask questions that the whole world knows the answer to.
A lot of usually level headed posters getting slightly carried away here.
I’d like to see Gilroy quiz diarmuid Connolly for example about his anger management issues and list them off like he did with macarrin.
Won’t happen though because Gilroy likes sitting ducks who the public are happy to see taken down.
I’d like to see him quiz rob ‘Robbie’ heffernan about his close relationships with drug cheats.
