Spain have taken the lead in Greece from a penalty. Greece need to win to remain in the qualification race. Should Spain win, a draw will do them against Sweden in the final game.
By no means a full house in Athens, looks like Covid restrictions are still in force.

Some tonkings dished out tonight. Germany 9-0 against Liechtenstein the pick of the bunch. The tackle the Liechtenstein fella got sent off for will surely show up in the reckless challenge thread.
Elsewhere Johnny Ronans Malta lost 1-7 at home in the Taq Ali to Croatia.
Very violent tackle in the Azerbaijan Luxembourg game too. The Grand Duchy scored lovely goals.
They might need to split Germany in two. Not sure how you’d go abut doing it though. North Gemany and South Germany or something like that?

They did it with Macedonia but now North Macedonia are in the play off places too.

Looking at some of those challenges that resulted in red cards tonight it might be high time to take the weaker nations out of the system in case they maim a professional footballer

What happens if Russia qualify? They are banned from all world events aren’t they
Norway are rightly in the mix too and have said they will boycott the tournament. Would be interesting to see if they qualify. If they beat Holland Tuesday night they will top the group
How can Russia even qualify if they are banned though?
I assume it will be the same as the Olmypics where they will be allowed play in the WC but will be called the football team from Russia and there will be no russia flag or anthem etc played. Will be a bit of a farce.
