By Robert Fisk
04/14/07 âICHâ â -- On the night of 11 September 2001, Al Dershowitz of Harvard law school exploded in anger. Robert Fisk, he roared over Irish radio, was a dangerous man. I was âpro-terroristâ. I was âanti-Americanâ and that, Dershowitz announced to the people of County Mayo, âis the same as anti-Semiticâ.
Of course I had dared to ask the âWhyâ question; Why had 19 Arabs flown aircraft into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and Pennsylvania? Take any crime on the streets of London and the first thing Scotland Yard does is look for a motive. But when we had international crimes against humanity on the scale of New York, Washington and Pennsylvania, the first thing we were not allowed to do was look for a motive. How very odd. The 19 murderers came from a place called the Middle East. Was there a problem out there?
But Al would have none of this. And I got the message. To ask the âWhyâ question made me a Nazi. Which is why I subsequently received a flood of mail, much of it from Denver - what has Denver got against me? - telling me that my mother was Adolf Eichmannâs daughter. Thanks, Al. Iâm sure you didnât dream of the hate mail your silly diatribe will inspire. I guess Irish radio host Eamon Dunphy did. He pulled the plug on Al.
A very underrated meltdown.
Itâs important not to muddy the waters between a meltdown and a rant.
A meltdown transcends the usually passionate rationale of a rant, into a self-implosion of sorts.
Some form of adjudication may be needed moving forward.
WARNING: The scenes contained in this video may be distressing for some viewers. If you are affected in any way by them, I think Bressie is playing in Lar Corbettâs bar on Saturday or something, so get on to him, or Conor Cusack, or Ashling Thompson, or whoever.
Not a meltdown.
KD handled himself admirably, with controlled aggression, despite being goaded by the interviewer in the immediate aftermath of a United/Pool game.
Iâm appointing myself as the aforementioned adjudicator.

Not a meltdown.
His sincerity was questioned. If any man questioned my sincerity, Iâd bury him. PG is a proud, passionate man who was only guilty of wearing his heart on his sleeve in a hostile environment.
The fist punch at end is absolute gold.
