Paris Olympics 2024

You said we should focus on Olympic show jumping medals and not Cheltenham winners.

No comparison was made there.

Ah Tim are you actually serious?

There’s bloody returns off horse racing. People employed.

You want the Irish government to buy show jumpers for around 20 million and do what with them?

How many medals have the horsey set ever won?

What’s your theory about why they are giving the 40m?

Yeah if we are going to fund horses, let’s put it into Olympic medals rather than a “sport” propped up solely in interest terms by gambling.

He made a mistake and is desperately digging in.

You can cut funding to racing to zero.

Buying showjumpers to try and win Olympic medals is off the wall stuff.

It’s not propped up solely by interests of gambling.

Loads of horse racing tracks. They push the whole “industry” aspect of it.

Lot of tradition to it.

I’m not sure how it has a place in modern Ireland tbh.

Whats Irelands best sprinting performance at a Worlds or Olympics?

In recent memory Thomas Barrs 4th in 400m hurdle in Rio stands out as does Derval O Rourke in a world championship finishing 4th in 110 m final. David Gillick also has a 6th in world 400m final. Any others??

Why do you think the government continue to give it? They must see it as having some benefit

When you have bought your two show jumpers for 20 million what do you propose to do with them next?

Paddy needs to focus more on the throwing events - hammer, discus, shot putt and javelin.

To think what these guys could have done with proper funding. Instead the money went to horse whipping

Sure your other horsey mate admitted it above.

The addition of “craic” (i.e. alcohol and now cocaine combined with gambling) to the proceedings probably helps 15 days a year?

After you bought your two show jumpers for say between 15-20 million where do you go next?

Ireland needs to defund horse whipping.
Make them pay proper taxes too. Obscene what they get away with.

Agreed. Put proper facilities in all secondary schools.

It is no coincidence that the schools who do the best at those sports have them in place.

Instead of young lads doing javelin in spring and summer term, they are running school bookies.

€40m a year gives us some really good facilities for it.

I think the horsey set need to decide if they want to keep their subsidy where it should go to.

Did Sophie O’Sullivan appeal her result earlier ?

Answer the questions Tim.

You’ve realised your nonsense as been exposed.
