Becker had us third at the handover & ran 50.9 out of the blocks, which was very good. She looked further behind because of the stagger. If youâre being cold & analytical then Healyâs 51.9 split was the outlier.

The only place where they could have improved was on the slightly tardy start. It was probably difference in the end.

Imagine if athletes like these got some of that sweet sweet greyhound money. Athletics Ireland have three years to find another really world class runner in this grade and do like your man on the pommel horse and plot revenge for four years time.
