They’ve dropped to 7th now which moves them from 1st to 3rd but only 3 points separating the first 3

Finish 11th which drops them to 3rd, only 3 points clear of the US in 4th now. NZ and Spain 6 points ahead on 51.
Poor first downwind leg compounded by the next upwind pushed them down into the back. In sailing the leaders get fresh air and go faster while once you’re in the pack you’re mostly stuck there. Only consolation is a worse race for the Spanish and Brits
The Spanish equalled their discard score of 16th - so at least that

Good start for IRL race 11. Spain off to a flyer too. So often race decided on the first leg
Big wind shift caught a lot of boats incl Ireland on the wrong side. Swiss big winners
11th for our lads at the first point, one place ahead of NZ.

Made a bit of a bollocks of it - even getting pipped by the Spanish on the last downwind
