Taylor said that he has to improve on his fitness in order to retain his World title. He said maybe not do the 1000’s of miles on the treadmill, more swimming perhaps.
What a cunt!

He has earned the right to be arrogant though. 14 titles. He is not like someone like King who goes shouting his mouth off despite having won nothing of significance.
I dont doubt that he is a prick but you have to be to be that good I think. Last year it looked as if he was finished but he came back an even better player at the age of almost 50. Prick or no prick - that is a real legend.
All the rest of them are pretenders. Taylor is operating about two levels above the rest. That is something to be admired.
I would say though that he is a fairly proud Brit (bordering on the BNP) which is the one thing I dont like about him.

I honestly think a lot of stupid northerners claim to be “proud to be British”, when if you quizzed them in any kind of detail, they really mean “proud to be English” - which in itself is hardly a crime. The butchers apron dart flights are a gimmick more than anything else, I’d say. A bit like Noel Gallagher playing that butchers apron guitar that Johnny Marr gave him. It doesn’t change the fact that he has Irish heritage and spends time in Ireland.
Back before Euro 1996, when it looked as if Ireland had a chance of making it, Oasis were asked if they would be interested in writing the English song.
Gallagher replied that he would be more interested in writing the Irish one as he considered himself Irish. Then he flaunted the union jack guitar.
Clown.
Taylor loves oat cakes.
Johnny Marr was a hero to NG though farmer, you have to take that into account. Life is full of contradictions, I honestly don’t believe that one was very big in the overall scheme of things.
