Did you ever cross paths with him, he’d have had a field day with the like of you.
We had many cordial, frank and wide ranging discussions. We got along famously, even if I did take issue with some of his observations regarding melville’s over reliance on homo-erotic motifs. Funnily enough I remember asking him if he felt he was more captain ahab or moby dick. His response startled me somewhat - he said he was captain ahab and moby dick, as well as the Indian fella with the harpoon. I had to reread the text to fully grasp the enormity of what he was saying. I gave the post a ‘like’ as I recall.

I enjoyed reading the replies to Kev’s tweet there. Funny stuff. He often expressed that opinion in his TFK days to much dissent.
